Chart Data has announced the top 10 Best selling soloists by total pure album sales in the US this year so far. And of course Michael Jackson is in the top 10 despite the cancel culture surrounding the King of Pop! Here the top 10:

If you have been watching the Olympics in Japan, you will have noticed that Michael Jackson’s music have been played few times already throughout different categories.

It is no secret that Japan loves Michael Jackson so it is not surprising to hear Michael’s music playing in stadiums.

Due to COVID-19, no spectators are presents but it did not stop the music to be heard by all those watching on their screens!

Hopefully more Michael Jackson’s songs will be played throughout the games!

Die British Phonographic Industry (#BPI), hat am 23. Juli 2021 ihre neuen Zertifizierungen veröffentlicht. Dabei ist auch die Single "Bad" von Michael Jackson, die die Auszeichnung "Goldene Schallplatte" bei einem Verkauf von 400.000 Einheiten in England erhalten hat. Bei der Single "Bad" handelt es sich um eine registrierte Veröffentlichung vom 15. November 2004, nicht die des Erstrelease am 07. September 1987. Das wären mehr.

Thriller in #Sony's neuer „360 Reality Audio“-Technologie?

Sony wird demnächst ein innovatives #3DAudiosystem auf den Markt bringen, das mehr Tiefe und Räumlichkeit in Musik bringen wird. Auf Basis des vom Fraunhofer ISS entwickelten offenen MPEG-H-3D-Audio-Standards soll es künftig möglich sein einzelne Musikspuren objektbasiert mit Rauminformationen zu versehen und entsprechend im Klangfeld zu platzieren.. Und dafür soll Gerüchten nach, Michael Jacksons Alben mit diesem Audiosystem produziert werden. Laut Humberto Gatica, Toningenieur und Produzent bei "Thriller", "Bad", #WeAreTheWorld" und "Invincible", wird das neue Audiosystem ermöglichen, Michael Jackson Songs mit überraschenden Effekten zu hören. Humberto Gatica erzählt: ''Billie Jean, Bad, Don't Stop ''Til You Get Enough, Thriller … da kann man Außerordentliches hören.

Deshalb hat mich der Estate of Michael Jackson kontaktiert, da ich die Originalbänder gut kenne und offensichtlich jemand bin, dem man vertrauen kann. Es war eine unglaubliche Erfahrung, diese Master nach 30 Jahren wieder zu hören und neu aufzunehmen. Die technische und musikalische Qualität ist bis heute erhalten geblieben. Seine Songs werden nie alt: Michaels Stimme, all die Bewegungen und all die Geräusche, die er während der Aufnahme machte... Er war ein sehr rhythmischer Mensch. Bisher gibt es kein offizielles Veröffentlichungsdatum. Gatica meint, dass sie noch dieses Jahr zur Eröffnung des offiziellen Musicals #mjthemusical erwartet werden dürften.

Gatica erklärt, dass die Technologie von Sony ein sensorisches Erlebnis sein wird. Meiner Meinung nach, wenn Michael das gehört hätte, wäre er glücklich gewesen. Olympians competing on Michael Jackson’s music

As reported last month, During the Japan Olympics, Michael Jackson music is played throughout the games in the different sport categories. As Gymnastic has started, few Olympians are using Michael Jackson’s music as a base of their routines. Laura Zeng who is competing for America has performed on “Slave to the Rhythm” from Xscape album. Zeng has been doing this routine for few years and has mastered the routine. She often uses Michael Jackson’s music like “Planet Earth / Earth song” in 2017.Here her “Slave to the Rhythm” routine:

Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ Album Now Certified 34X Multi-Platinum

Michael Jackson’s groundbreaking album, Thriller, has been certified 34X multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

With more than 34 million units sold in the U.S. alone, Thriller remains the second best-selling album of all time. The Eagles’ compilation album, Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975), is the top-selling album of all time in the U.S. with 38 million copies sold (as of August 2018) which has been questioned by the fans and the Estate of Michael Jackson.

In addition to Thriller, Jackson has also gained new plaques for his 1987 album, Bad (now 11X multi-platinum), as well as his great hits compilation albums Number Ones (now 5X multi-platinum), The Essential Michael Jackson (now 5X multi-platinum).
