For the first time, The Estate of Michael Jackson will be livestreaming part of the Annual Birthday Celebration at MJ ONE, Las Vegas.
Fans will be able to join virtually the festivities of the Sunday (28/08/2022) afternoon and watch the live Q&A with Greg Phillinganes and a special one-off performance by the Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil cast.
The livestream will begin at 3:30 pm PT and will be shared on Michael’s Facebook page and his YouTube channel.

This year, the world-renowned entertainment group will celebrate significant milestone anniversaries for three of its Las Vegas resident productions: Michael Jackson ONE™ at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino marking 10 years in June, “O™” at Bellagio Resort & Casino celebrating 25 years of aquatic brilliance in October and Mystère™, at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, the show that started it all, commemorating 30 years in December.

The Michael Jackson Estate just announced, without surprises, the annual Michael Jackson Birthday Celebration in Las Vegas in conjunction with Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson One”.
The Date is set to August 29, 2023 (obviously) and called “Michael Jackson Sapphire Birthday Celebration”.
“all of the planned activities” will be revealed soon but we can expect Michael Bush’s annual book signing if you haven’t managed to have one since 2013, meeting with TikToker John Branca, presented by the amazing host Karen Langford (who used to be an “archivist” for the Estate) and a special mind-blowing number from the MJ ONE Cast.

Michael Jackson ONE celebrates its 4,000th show

Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas show “Michael Jackson ONE” just celebrated its 4,000th show. The production began previews on May 23, 2013 and the official world premiere was June 29, 2013 at the Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas Strip. This year, the show will also celebrate its 10th year anniversary at Mandalay Bay.

Juni 2013 im Mandalay Bay am Las Vegas Strip statt. In diesem Jahr feiert die Show auch ihr 10-jähriges Jubiläum in Mandalay Bay.

On June 29, 2013, Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE officially premiered at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas. Previews started earlier in May 23 the same year.
Past and present crew and cast members will celebrate this milestone anniversary on June 29, 2023 beginning with an afternoon pop-up presentation in Mandalay Bay’s lobby that will include original cast members.
“It’s a very dear moment for many of us, even those of us who haven’t been here for 10 years,” sais Kati Renaud, senior artistic director for Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil. “We’ll have our regular two shows, 7 p.m. and 9:30, then after the second show we’ll have a celebration. We’re going to get together cast and crew, and we’re going to celebrate these amazing 10 years.”
It will be an emotional day for all involved. “It’s going to be lovely,” says Renaud. “We’re all so passionate about what we do, but also about Michael Jackson. It’s going to be a really special day.”
“To know that I was going to be pursuing this production about an artist who made music I grew up with that really touched me and impacted me and influenced me, I was thrilled,” says Renaud. “We’ve come so far in 10 years. We’re always striving to make our shows better, stronger. We’re tweaking and changing and adjusting. … It’s part of our DNA in Cirque to always better the product, better the experience.”
The 10th anniversary comes two months before what would have been Jackson’s 65th birthday on Aug. 29. On that day, the legend’s estate, in conjunction with Cirque, will host a Sapphire Birthday Celebration in the theater, including a 10 a.m. brunch (reservations are required), a book signing of The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson by Michael Bush (open to the public), and a pre-show cast meet and greet. (You must have tickets to the Aug. 29 show to attend the last event.)

Wie vor einigen Tagen angekündigt , haben die gesamte Crew und die Besetzung von Michael Jackson ONE des Cirque du Soleil im Mandalay Bay Resorts and Casino in Las Vegas ihr 10-jähriges Jubiläum mit Stil gefeiert.
As announced few days ago, all the crew and cast of Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE based in Mandalay Bay Resorts and Casino in Las Vegas have celebrated their 10th Anniversary in style.
The celebrations kicked off with a special performance in the lobby from the cast of the show:

After the main performance in the theatre, the crew and cast came together on stage for a photo opportunity to mark the celebration!
Also, some of the merchandise present at the MJ ONE Boutique has the 10th Anniversary stamp on such as mugs and T-shirts.
Nach der Hauptvorstellung im Theater kamen die Crew und die Darsteller auf der Bühne zusammen, um anlässlich der Feier ein Fotomotiv zu machen!

Still on the road for her “Summer Carnival” tour, P!nk was in Las Vegas and made time to go to see Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson One at the Mandalay Bay.
Like when she was on tour in the UK and went to see MJ the Musical last June, P!nk didn’t miss the chance to see a show about her favourite artist: Michael Jackson.
From her smile, she seems to have enjoyed the show!
