Ich weis nicht, ob es schon einen Thread mit dem Thema gibt (die Suchfunktion hat nichts gefunden)…deshalb in aller Kürze: die Doku auf Netflix zu dem Song kann ich nur empfehlen…fand ich jedenfalls um Welten besser als die Thriller 40 Doku. Von mir ganz klar nen Daumen hoch!👍

Oh, how I enjoyed the documentary "The Greatest Night in Pop".
With bated breath I watched the musical collaboration between all those great artists, my idols of the '80s.
It was as if I was back in that moment again, reliving the moment when We Are The World was broadcast simultaneously all over the world. We will never experience that again....
How egos were put aside to achieve a common goal. And how beautifully Michael was portrayed, together with Lionel Richie the connecting factor between all those greats by writing a song that would touch the whole world. What touched me most deeply was how Lionel spoke with such honor about Michael, portraying him as the person who, while humming, confirmed his greatness as a songwriter.
Ending with an ode to all those greats who are no longer there, and the photo of Michael and Lionel receiving the trophy for Song of the Year together.
Did I cry? Oh sure, but I still ended up smiling, just like Michael would have if he had seen this.
