also abtanzen und sooo richtig abgehen kann ich zb nicht auf dem album ... auf unbreakable ärger,von 200watts brauch ma gar net reden ein meisterstück zum tanzen und threatened ein leckerbissen ....solche songs find ich auf Michael nicht.... trotzdem find ich das album teils gut auch die Cascio tracks find ich cool und gut gemacht ...nur der eine kleine fehler für mich aber kann damit leben

'Michael mentored me so much to where I kind of knew how to complete his sentences,' Theron 'Neff-U' Feemster tells MTV News of picking up where MJ left off.

Michael Jackson's first posthumous album, Michael, has been met with mixed emotions by fans of the King of Pop. Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am lashed out at MJ's estate for commissioning the album, while Akon, a contributor on the project, hailed the effort.

Some of the songwriters and producers behind Michael are simply asking people to give it a chance before making a decision.

"They're gonna love the music, because it speaks for itself," Eddie Cascio, who is credited as a songwriter on "Breaking News," told MTV News. "Michael sounds great. The songs are great. The production sounds great. Teddy Riley did a phenomenal job finishing off the songs. The quality and production are incredible."

Theron "Neff-U" Feemster agreed. The producer had a hand in three of the album's 10 tracks, including "Hollywood Tonight" and standouts "(I Like) The Way You Love Me" and "Best of Joy." Feemster worked with Jackson in the past, as did the majority of the contributors to Michael, which he thinks made the project uniquely authentic despite MJ having little say in the way his tracks were completed.

"It wasn't difficult," Feemster told MTV News of picking up the rough material. "It was like coloring. It was coloring a frame that was already structured. Michael mentored me so much to where I kind of knew how to complete his sentences. I understood the expectations that he wanted. He wanted to be beyond great. He wanted to give the world a gift, something they'd never heard or seen before. So even after his passing, it was great to have a great team of people to work with who also had experience working with Michael. It made it that much easier. Bringing very creative people together and people who understood his integrity and what he wanted as well, it was great."

ccording to famed producer Teddy Riley, one of the main producers on the posthumous Michael Jackson album, "Michael," which drops today (Dec. 14), the late King of Pop's vocal tracks required considerable digital enhancement.

"I had to do more processing to the voice, which is why people were asking about the authenticity of his voice," Riley, who worked with Jackson on his 1991 album "Dangerous," told Reuters Monday. "We had to do what we had to do to make ... his voice work with the actual music."'

Riley reveals that producers used Melodyne technology to get the raw vocals in key.

"With the Melodyne we actually move the (pitch) up which is the reason why some of the vibrato sounds a little off or processed, over-processed," Riley added. "We truly apologize for that happening, but you are still hearing the true Michael Jackson."

"...I know it's great material, I know that it needs to be out, I know that the legacy needs to continue because he's such a great person, and there's more to come," continued Riley, who worked on three of the 10 songs on the album -- "Hollywood Tonight," "Monster" and "Breaking News" -- and who said that he would like to partake in producing future Jackson albums if they should come to fruition.

Will.i.am schimpft über 'Michael'-Album

(BANG) - Michael Jacksons posthumes Album bringt Black Eyed Peas-Sänger will.i.am in Rage.

Der Hip-Hopper hält die Veröffentlichung der neuen Platte, die den Titel 'Michael' trägt und seit kurzem im Handel ist, für einen Fehler, da diese nicht den Segen des King of Pop, der im Sommer 2009 verstarb, erhalten habe.

"Ich kannte diesen Mann und er war sehr kritisch, bis ins kleinste Detail", ereifert will.i.am sich im Interview mit dem amerikanischen 'Rolling Stone'-Magazin. "Er stand selbst im Studio, kümmerte sich ums Mastering und Mischen. Wie kann man nur ein Album ohne diesen Michael Jackson veröffentlichen? Das ist nicht Michael Jackson", ärgert er sich und erklärt ohne Umschweife: "Das widert mich an."

Will.i.am zufolge sei auch Jackson selbst alles andere als begeistert gewesen, als vor seinem Tod unvollendete Aufnahmen an die Öffentlichkeit geraten waren. "Einige Monate bevor Michael starb, rief er mich an und war wirklich aufgebracht", berichtet der Rapper. "Er sagte: 'Hey, ich bin's, Michael. Jemand hat einen Song durchsickern lassen. Warum ist das passiert? Wer macht sowas?'" Schon damals sei ohne Jacksons Zustimmung ein Song namens 'Hold My Hand' veröffentlicht worden, was die Musik-Legende tief betrübt habe. Weiter beteuert will.i.am: "Ich schwöre, dass ich diese Unterhaltung mit ihm geführt habe."

Schon im letzten Monat hatte der Rapper das Erscheinen des Albums als "respektlos" bezeichnet, woraufhin Hip-Hopper Akon, der vor Jacksons Tod 'Hold My Hand' mit dem Popsänger produziert hatte, die Platte verteidigte. "Ich finde es überhaupt nicht respektlos. Dieses Album wäre erschienen, ob MJ nun lebendig oder tot ist. Ich glaube, es hilft, sein Erbe am Leben zu halten", hatte er dazu verlauten lassen.

Michael Jackson's Michael Has King Of Pop's 'Spirit,' Producer Says

'This feels like Michael, this feels like the spirit of Michael,' Teddy Riley tells MTV News.

Teddy Riley had a long-standing working relationship with Michael Jackson, and the producer said Jackson's latest project, Michael, is as authentic an LP as any of the superstar's past work.

"Oh, they're gonna say this is him, that's the first thing," Riley told MTV News about fan's anticipated reaction to the set. "And this feels good. This feels like Michael, this feels like the spirit of Michael. And we love him, that's what they're gonna say."

The project, which arrived in stores and online Tuesday (December 14), is the first posthumous MJ collection since the singer died in June 2009.

Riley, along with Akon, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart (Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, The-Dream) and a host of other producers and songwriters were commissioned to complete the project, which was birthed from a spate of unfinished material in Jackson's archives. In the past, Riley has helmed MJ's Dangerous album, on which he produced "Remember the Time" and "Jam," among other tracks.

For Michael, which Riley was called in to work on during the last three months of production, the former Guy and Blackstreet member had a handy trick to help him retrieve the vibe he shared with MJ.

"Just by bringing his spirit in the room, in the actual studio," Riley explained. "I had his pictures all over the place. Time after time, I would [also] go back and forth to Thriller and listen to all the music to get the spirit and keep his spirit in the room. To keep the bad energy out of the room. He was always about the good energy. Anytime there was a negative energy, nothing would happen. The computers would react, they would just go out. There was serious spirits in the room. Shutting down computers. That was the problems we were going through. But when it felt good and the energy was good, everything went smooth and we got through the project."

tja will.i.am, deine musik widert mich auch an, ob du jetzt deshalb aufhören wirst musik zu machen?!?

Diese Tracks waren Michael ja sehr wichtig... von I Have This Dream hat Michael ja lange vor dem release von Vince gesagt, das es eines seiner schönsten Stücke sei.... ich hoffe diese Tracks mal zu hören.

Aber im moment labe ich mich an den wohligen klängen von 'MICHAEL'!

von i have this dream habe ich eine instrumentalversion mit wenig stimme , nur der text am anfang des refrains. kann mir aber vorstellen das dies ein sehr schöner titel auch wieder geworden wäre

Das heisst Ekam Satyam

Ich schliesse mich den teil hier geäusserten Meinungen an, das 'Michael' nicht sehr tanzbar ist. Ich versuche es schon seit einigen Tagen, aber es funktioniert nur bei Hollywood Tonight so richtig. Irgendwie fehlt dem Album ein gewisser Esprit. Ich weiss auch nicht genau, was ich damit meine aber ich glaube ihr versteht mich.

Also unter Janet würde ich auf Tatum O'Neal tippen...

Über Brooke Shields: Oprah Winfrey und Jane Fonda (?). Oprah ist allerdings so schlecht gezeichnet worden, dass sie auch Michaels Mutter sein könnte... (nicht, dass Jane Fonda gut gezeichnet worden wäre... )
