thanks bud! exactly I even made sure I had that little clip of Michael dressed as Chaplin in it, the whole situation has sickened me with the people in charge of his legacy, he would be rolling over in his grave if they knew what his publishers were doing!
-
I think the thread should be removed can any mods do this as I dont want disappointed fans looking here for it when its clearly not here in any form.
I believe some fans at MJJC are trying to get it back online themselves, the Mj fans are driven and determined! hehehe
-
no there was no chaplin music or video in the documentary, you can still see my name pop up when you subscribe to some other MJ fans and the only video removed was smile before I was suspended. I had 85 videos and now it says 84, ummmm I'll think about uploading the doc again as Sony were the only ones who claimed 3rd party content and were fine with them staying up
however if you have any favs of my music videos let me know and I'll add to the list
Morphine is the lead runner for a definite reupload -
-
I wont, please everyone add me as a friend and sub to my new channel on youtube, I'll be uploading the fans top ten of my videos except Smile and my documentary as a reminder of MJ video making, so if you have any favourites let me know
-
just to clarify Sony has never had a problem with my videos in all the two years Ive posted them, its only been this one time that the Chaplin estate had a problem with the song being used.
-
Paul is right, we cannot risk Craplins estate considering legal action over one video so we have to remove all the content. Sorry guys, as some of you know Im starting a film making course and the first thing they tell us is dont use anything you dont own.
-
That is very sad to hear. Especially when it seems that it happened because of some small copyright problem. Man, I don't know what to say. I always loved your videos and they gave me chills everytime. Never seen fanmade Michael videos that are this good. If this is really the end of your work, then let me say thank you very much. I feel passion and love when I see your videos, and that can't be wrong.
I will finally find some time this weekend to see the documentary and I can't say how excited I am.
So once again, thank you very much.I know, its the only one Ive had apart from third party matches with Sony where they have allowed me to put my videos on youtube and they gain the advertising revenue. I honestly dont understand what the Craplin publishing company had against my use of the song when there are hundreds of other videos, even ones with his own films. Personally I think Youtube thought MJ was getting a little too many views.

Hi there
you will not know me but I am bigdb2984, a youtuber who you recently got suspended. I worked hard on a video for the song Michael recorded "Smile" and you put in a claim of copyright. I worked very hard on my videos for the last 4 years and have been gaining success on youtube from these videos, but not in the form of money or any other kind profit, it was respect I gained from the fans.
I didn't steal the song to use in the video and the fact that you have focused on me and not the hundreds of other videos with chaplin films... and it makes me sick!
Your company has erased all my work that took me years to create over the use of a song in which I could have removed.
Its disgusting and really shows you horrible corporations for what you are, greedy and malicious.
Thanks for ruining a big aspect of my life and disappointing over 1500 subscribers on youtube.
If you are not consistant in your complaints over every Smile or Chaplin song posted on youtube, I will personally forward a report regarding this and your allowing of other channels to stay alive with your songs posted on them. Why should my channel be the only one singled out over this, its completely unfair
I certainly hope Charlie Chaplin is proud of the publishing company as he rolls over in his grave.
Dom
