    Ich sag jetzt mal, dass die Person Michael Jackson sich in den Jahren 1999-2001 sehr verändert hat. Und zwar nicht positiv! Er konnte sich als Persönlichkeit, als Musiker und als Live-Entertainer auf der Bühne bekanntlich selbst nicht mehr unterscheiden, aber heute hat er damit Probleme am Hals, die sind von großer Tragweite. Die sogennante "Jacko-Lücke" ist nämlich längst geschlossen. Die Welt bewegt sich weiter und MJ spielt mit der Realität wie gehabt. Ob das ihm hilft, in nächster Zeit wieder etwas auf die Beine stellen zu können... Who Knows? Who's Bad?

    ^^es scheint mir, dass er eben doch diesen charity-song nicht auf die reihe bekommt und wenn doch, dann wird's wie bei WE'VE HAD ENOUGH sein:


    erst euphorisch entgegengefiebert, dann nach mehrmaligen hören zum schluss gekommen: okay, aber (bei 90% aller fans) kein burner wie früher


    WE'VE HAD ENOUGH ist nämlich doch sehr zäh im Aufbau und das große Finale des Songs erinnert an IN THE BACK. Gehaltvoller Text wie beim Earth Song (ich beziehe mich nur auf das Finale!)? Fehlanzeige! Und diese gezwungen wirkenden "ask my mother" & "oh my brother" wirken schon lächerlich.


    ich muss ehrlich gestehen, ich glaube, nach dem Abschluss an Escape (und einigen anderen unbekannten Songs an denen er bis Ende 2002 noch arbeitete) ist ihm nichts mehr gelungen

      Statements by representatives of Sony Music which claimed that the song would have
      been re-named from "I Never Heard" to "This Is It" contradict the fact that the song
      was registered with the title "This Is It" in 1984 under the US Copyright Office.

      of 46,000 people was aired (in an edited version) on ABC on November
      1, 2001. Sony Music canceled a possible single release in late 2001
      without giving any reason for this decision but hampering Michael
      Jackson's and some of the involved artists' attempt to distribute the
      song. Footage of the recording sessions was first shown on German
      TV channel ARD as Michael Jackson was presented with the Bambi
      Award as Pop Artist Of The Millennium in November 2002 in Berlin,

      Originally intended for a children charity project, but due to
      the late 2003 child molestation accusations and the resulting arrest
      on the 18th November of that year, the track has been dropped.
      Michael Jackson has been working throughout 2003 on a brand-new
      studio album (initially intended for release sometime in 2004).
      At that time (2003), Dieter Wiesner was Michael Jackson's manager
      and he introduced young music artist Nisha Kataria, his newest protégé,
      to Michael. Michael Jackson invited Nisha onto his Neverland Valley
      Ranch to record with her some tracks in his private recording studio
      (contrary to claims by some individuals, Michael Jackson had such a
      place at his home). She stayed there for about six weeks and Michael
      wrote this song and they both recorded it as a duet. After Michael's
      dramatic moral conduct in November 2003, all plans have been put
      on hiatus since.
      At the present moment (April 2010) it is still unknown if and when
      the track will be used.

      He could also be seen with long-time percussionist Brad Buxer and his brother Randy in a
      recording studio while working on the song.
