In The Studio With Michael Jackson: A MUST for fans of the King of Pop

OK - German and European friends, I have a serious question.

I will be bringing the seminar to Germany in late Oct or early Nov, but I need your help. Would you prefer Munich or Frankfurt? I only have one weekend available, and I want to make it is easy for you to join us as possible. Lots of planning and prep to come, but at this moment would you be more likely to join us in Munich or Frankfurt?

    Thanks for your help!

    Vielen Dank für Alles!

In The Studio With MJ - V2.0

    A note
to ticket purchasers. Many people have experienced "In The Studio With
MJ", and several blogs and reports have been thoughtfully written,
sharing the details of the seminar. The MJ Estate has requested
that certain elements of the seminar be removed, including the
"Childhood" video. I have no choice but to respect their request at
this time. I have been working on many new elements to share with you,
and I believe the seminar is as unique and authentic as ever. That
said, it must be made clear that not every song or segment from previous
seminars will be included in the European tour of Oct/Nov 2014.

Seminar tickets will go on sale at 1pm London time (GMT +1) on Sunday, August 31, 2014.

    8. September 2014

Ein langjähriger Tontechniker von Michael Jackson, Brad Sundberg, kommt

mit seinem “In The Studio with Michael Jackson” Seminar nach Frankfurt,

London und Kopenhagen. Auch Bruce Swedien (Off The Wall - Invincible)

    of Pop gewähren.

    Europa Tour von Brad

    Sundberg und Bruce Swedien

    8. September 2014

Live with the Swediens – Their Memories of Michael Jackson

    http://www.b-2014.com/?page_id=2

Sa, 8. November 2014: Paris (Tickets sollten ab dem 12. September

diskutiert. (siehe beispielsweise hier auf der MJJ Community

    http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/thread…Michael-Jackson).

King of Pop.

    Regel 6 Stunden.

  • You have been patiently asking and waiting, and I am finally and proudly ready to announce that the "In The Studio With MJ - V2" seminar will be at the world famous Cream Studios in Frankfurt on November 1, 2014! Cream is a beautiful facility and they have welcomed us with open arms and maybe even a stout beer. I am also humbled and excited that almost all of the tickets for the November 1st seminar are already sold. Space is very limited, so grab one before they are all gone. Danke!

  • Happy Sunday Everyone! I am blown away by the response of our seminars coming to Europe next month - Germany is fully
sold out on Nov 1st! I cannot add anymore tickets to that date, as the studio is filled to capacity, however I am looking at adding a second Frankfurt seminar on Sunday, Nov 2nd. I will make an announcement this coming week.

Japan... I hear you! We have been working with some friends in Tokyo and we are in the early stages of offering a series of seminars in
January, 2015. Details to be released soon.

2015 will also bring us back to a few cities in the US and Canada. I am looking for some people to help organize events in Seattle, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Gary and Houston. If you are interested in bringing "In The Studio With MJ - V2.0" to your city, drop me a note at inthestudiowithmj@gmail.com.

Lastly, your comments and support of late have been greatly appreciated. I shared with you a few weeks ago that the MJ Estate has
requested that certain elements of my seminar be removed, and I have obliged. I have also been working overtime to rework the seminar and
make it fresh, new, interesting and fun for everyone. Please reserve your anger and frustration for issues that really matter in this world
    and in your community.

I offer these seminars as a way of celebrating and sharing Michael's talent, working style, humor, drive and friendship to his fans. I was honored to be part of an amazing team of people who saw and helped Michael's music and dreams come to life.

During the "Dangerous" album, one of our young engineers (Bart) had to have a heart valve replaced due to a birth defect. It was very major
surgery (this story has a happy ending, don't worry!), and we threw him a party in the studio on his last day. His wife and family was there,
and Michael was right in the middle of it. We all gave him little gifts to keep him occupied during his stay in the hospital, but Michael
outdid us all (in a good way!), but giving him a video player and bag after bag of movies to watch. They also had a really cool friendship
both before and after the surgery, and Bart went on to work with me on countless projects at Neverland. (We are still friends to this day).

Here's my point. Michael didn't have to come to the party, or flood Bart with gifts, but he did. Bart was someone that we all loved and
cared about, even though he wasn't a celebrity or a Hollywood VIP, he was just a good guy, a hard worker, and a valued part of the team.
Right now you likely know someone like Bart who is going through a rough time. Drop them a note, bring them a gift, offer them a helping hand. That does a lot more good than finding things to gripe about online.

OK... time for me step down from the soapbox, but thanks for your friendship and support. I look forward to meeting many of you in the
coming months, and I hope you can one day join me "In The Studio."

Have a great day, and Keep The Faith! - Brad

  • Whenever I get closer to doing a seminar, I dig into my boxes of memorabilia for two reasons:
    1) To look for unique items, music, etc., to share with the group.
    2) To get myself back into "MJ World", if that makes any sense.

I know this likely comes as a shock, but I don't listen to MJ music 24/7. Particularly after a series of seminars I simply need to take a break from it and instead listen to Beck or Steely Dan or AC/DC or Gloria Gaynor (don't laugh) for a while. I know... it doesn't make sense, but it's true! The seminars bring back a lot of memories and things get to be very real again... and I have to let it go. (Wow, that got deep fast.)

So I am going over last minute prep for the next series of seminars in London, Copenhagen and Frankfurt, and I opened up my memory boxes. Captain EO shirt (original!), my signed Thriller album, boxes and boxes of tapes, CDs, lyrics, scribbled notes and comp sheets, etc. Then I saw my old "Bad Mixes" CD.

After the "Bad" album was released... I mean almost immediately after it was released, Bruce Swedien and I were back at Westlake Studio D starting the remixes for singles, dance mixes, video mixes, etc. This went on for months - song after song.

Monster Cable was involved in the "Bad" album (no, I don't get a free anything for mentioning them), and Noel Lee was an occasional visitor to the project. Noel was cool, and always seemed
to enjoy his visits to the studio. We had Monster Cable all over the place, which was a mixed blessing: It does sound good, but suddenly I was having to lug cables the size of garden hoses around for speakers, and microphone harnesses with the diameter of a grapefruit everywhere we went. No need to hit the gym in those days.

So I don't know the exact origin of the "Bad Mixes" (I'm sure there are plenty of readers who know more about it than I do), but Monster had some direct involvement - at least with the Special Edition CD. So one day Noel shows up and Bruce and I were working on something - I have no idea what - with a small box of CDs under his arm. He was very proud and pulled them out of the box. Each one had a number: 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004, 0005, and so on. Michael was on tour, and I'm not sure where Quincy was, but Noel very graciously gave us the CDs with specific instructions that Michael was to have 0001, Quincy would receive 0002, Bruce got 0003, and I received 0004. Noel would keep 0005 for himself.

Now don't read more into this than you should because I was treated very well by everyone, but it was pretty cool for Noel to include me in the top four of receiving one of his hand-delivered, limited edition numbered CDs. They could have gone to the endless list of managers and executives and lawyers first, but Noel knew we were on the front lines of making the music sound great, and using many of his products along the way, so I think this was his way of saying "thank you".

I still have good old 0004, sealed in it's original packaging, as a cool momento from a long time ago. No, it's not for sale... It represents way too big a part of my life to sell. So there you go... I'm ramping back into MJ world just by digging in a box of memories.

London, Copenhagen, Frankfurt - tickets are still available, and the new material is pretty cool. I was up late last night putting some new segments together from Dangerous - and I think you are going to like them!

Download the "Bad Mixes" or dig out your old CD of it and crank them up this weekend - "Smooth Criminal" sounds better than ever!

Have a great weekend, and I hope to see you on our European tour starting next weekend. Will You Be There?

(0004 will be staying home, safe and sound).

  • In The Studio With Michael Jackson

    26. Oktober 2014

Brad Sundberg, langjähriger Tontechniker von Michael Jackson, hat in

London das erste seiner „In The Studio with MJ V.2“ Seminare

vorgetragen.

Audiospuren dabei – Acapella, Snare, Keys, Drums, etc.

In London war u.a. auch Chris Cadman („For The Record“) dabei, dessen

neustes Buch „The Maestro“ hier bei Amazon.de http://www.amazon.de/dp/0755216091/ref=n…wismichjackc-21

    bestellt werden kann.
