According to several news stations Janet will be presenting her brothers, the "Jackson 5", with a special award at this years BET Awards. We have no official confirmation for it yet but should have more information about this event very soon.

The BET Awards will be helt on Tuesday June 27, 2006 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Damon Wayans. You can watch it live on BET at 8 PM ET. BET.com will be broadcasting live from the red carpet beginning at 6 PM ET.

Es gibt Gerüchte, die besagen, dass Janet Jackson ihren Brüdern, den Jackson 5, einen Ehrenpreis bei den diesjährigen BET Awards überreichen soll. Derzeit gibt es noch keine offizielle Bestätigung darüber, aber wir hoffen bald mehr darüber zu erfahren.

Die BET Awards finden am Dienstag, den 27. Juni 2006 in Los Angeles statt und werden von Damon Wayans moderiert werden. Die Übertragung findet live auf BET um 20 Uhr statt. BET.com wird ab 18 Uhr live vom Roten Teppich berichten.

"We put in a call last night to BET and the BET producer who we have been in touch with for Mr. Joseph Jackson's VIP Tickets said that in all the meetings shes been in since Wed. of this week, she has heard nothing about this.

She was going to call the PR DEPT to double check for us this morning and give us a call back.
I will post what she reports.

She did advise us that if it does not come from a BET Press Release, or if it is not on BET'S website, its most likely not true.
She said she has no control over who what and where radio/tv/messageboards report

Just to be clear: I only inquired about the award for the brothers, I did not inquire about Michael's attendance as that is Raymone's territory

The only other thing I can think of is a surprise award..but this Producer I spoke with last night really seemed very genuine in her answers.
She said she is not the go to person on this particular issue, but she has been in production meetings all week. I will wait for her call today, but I do believe she was being truthful with me as far as her knowledge of the situation."
