"Behind the Mask" ist ein Song, der von der japanischen Band Yellow Magic Orchestra 1978/1979 in Japan geschrieben und aufgenommen wurde. In 1982 sah #MichaelJackson seine Coverversion für sein Album "Thriller" vor, musste aber wegen Rechteunstimmigkeiten von einer Veröffentlichung absehen. Am 21. Februar 2011 wurde der Song von Epic Records als dritte Single des posthumen Albums "Michael" veröffentlicht. Die Sängerin Shanice Wilson liefert Hintergrundgesang. Ein alternatives Video mit maskierten Tänzern in einem Nachtclub wurde ursprünglich gedreht, aber stand "Behind The Mask-Projekt" zurück. Dieses alternative Musikvideo unter der Regie des Grammy-prämierten Regie-Duos Aggressive wurde am 31. Juli 2013 geleakt. Seit dem 3. August 2018 ist das Video auf den offiziellen Musikkanal von #MichaelJackson hochgeladen.

August vom Verband der britischen Musikindustrie BPI (British Phonography Industry) mit Platin ausgezeichnet. :blumen Der Grund dafür, dass "You Are Not Alone" erst im Jahr 2018 mit Platin ausgezeichnet wurde, ist, dass BPI erst im November 2004, fast zehn Jahre nach der offiziellen Veröffentlichung der Single, mit der Listung dieses Tracks begonnen hat. Laut BPI bekommt eine Single Platin, wenn sie die Marke von 600.000 verkauften Exemplaren überspringt.

    Halloween has now gone once more and again, Michael Jackson’s most famous song for the season – “THRILLER” re-enters the Charts at the 31st place of the Billboard Hot 100! :top
    Not bad (LOL) for a 84’s song! But this just proves Michael Jackson Legacy and genius!


    The song is clearly one of people’s favorite song for Halloween and the most listen song in the “horror” category!
    The re-entry of “Thriller” is the highest charting position of the horror song since it peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 on March 3, 1984.
