du hast natürlich recht. ist mir später auch eingefallen, aber da konnte ich es nicht mehr ändern.
hab auch schon mit einer reaktion von dir gerechnet.

"this is it" ist übrigens nicht das einzige album von michael, das in den billboard charts gestiegen ist.
"number ones" konnte sich um einen rang verbessern und liegt nun auf dem 31. platz, "the essential" stieg um 5 plätze und belegt damit position 58 und "thriller" kletterte von platz 82 auf 64.
diese drei alben bilden auch die top 3 der billboard catalog charts.

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson und "The Eagles" liefern sich ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen. Und zwar um das meistverkaufte Album in den USA. Das teilte jetzt die Recording Industry Association of America mit. Sowohl Jackson "Thriller" als auch die "Greatest Hits" der "Eagles" stehen in den Staaten bei rund 29 Millionen verkauften Exemplaren. Bassist Timothy B. Schmit sieht diesen Zweikampf allerdings gelassen. Er sagte wörtlich: "Wenn wir das zweitbeste Album haben sollten, wäre das immer noch großartig. Aber ich selbst schenke dieser Sache nicht wirklich Beachtung."

"The Eagles" sind in den USA die erfolgreichste Band des vergangenen Jahrzehnts. Denn keine andere Band konnte mehr Gold und Platin abräumen als die Rockveteranen.

Beatles, Jackson Honored At Japan's Gold Disc Awards

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has handed out its Gold Disc Awards, with boy band Arashi and the Beatles among the winners.

The Feb. 24 awards, the 24th edition of the ceremony, celebrated the artists that have sold the most in sales categories including singles, downloads, albums and total sales.

On the strength of their re-mastered box sets, the Beatles snatched the Japan Gold Disc Award for international artist of the year. Michael Jackson picked up the international album of the year for the Sony Music CD release of "This Is It."

Johnny & Associates' boy band Arashi took home the Japan Gold Disc Award for artist of the year, the category based on combined sales across all platforms. They also grabbed album of the year for "All the Best! 1999-2009." The group is on management stable Johnny & Associates' J-Storm record label.

Johnny & Associates' groups also swept the best five singles category, with Arashi placing four and Johnny's other superstar boy band Kat-tun picking up one. The category is based on physical sales of singles.

GReeeeN won the song of the year for "Haruka," largely thanks to its success in the digital music realm, continuing Universal Music Japan's dominance in this arena. The track sold 2 million digital units across all digital platforms.

(Relaxnews) - Selon le classement hebdomadaire des meilleures ventes d'albums Fnac du 1er au 7 mars 2010, la compilation This is it de Michael Jackson domine le top. Le double album connaît une nouvelle vie à l'occasion de la sortie du film, le 1er mars en France. La chanteuse Sade recule en 3ème position avec Soldier of Love.

Robert Francis se hisse à la 10ème place avec avec Before Nightfall tandis que le groupe The Black Eyed Peas perd trois places avec The E.N.D.
