:negativ

  • Jackson faces custody battle

Tuesday, May 30, 2006 It is almost a year since Michael Jackson famously 'beat it'. But, with the anniversary of his acquittal on child sex charges looming, Jackson is bracing himself for another bitter legal battle.

And this time it's over his children. Ex-wife Debbie Rowe, who gave birth to two of his three offspring, signed away her parental rights allowing him to bring them up.

At the time, according to court papers, she believed Jackson was a wonderful father who could give Prince Michael and Paris a life they could only dream of if they stayed with her.

Then he was hit by claims he plied boys with alcohol, showed them porn magazines and sexually assaulted them. It was these allegations that sparked a change of mind for Rowe.

She claimed the 47-yearold wasn't such a good father after all and launched a legal battle to get her rights and her children back.

And her bid received a welcome boost last week when a California supreme court judge refused to hear Jackson's appeal against her case.

Jackson's three children – Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II – have followed him around the globe over the last 12 months. Friends say losing custody of two children to Rowe would be the final nail in the coffin for the star, who is said to be struggling financially.

Jackson, who visited an orphanage in Tokyo yesterday where he put masks on children and hugged them, is pinning all his hopes on a comeback album due for release next year.

A friend said: 'Michael will fight Debbie tooth and nail for custody of the children. 'They are all he has right now and he will do everything in his power to hang on to them.'

    Jackson Loses Appeal Against Rowe

It looks as though Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe will win back the parental rights to her two children.

A U.S. court has ruled against Michael Jackson in his appeal against ex-wife Debbie Rowe. She had signed away her parental rights to their two children five years ago but won them back in February. In another victory for Rowe, the California Supreme Court declined Jackson's appeal this Wednesday.

During their four year marriage, Rowe and Jackson had two children, Prince Michael, 9, and Paris, 8, who reside with Jackson in Bahrain at the moment - a living arrangement that will undoubtedly come to an end after this most recent ruling.

"This is an excellent, although not surprising, development for Deborah," Rowe's lawyer Eric George told the New York Post. "This means she can proceed with her claims before the family court without any further delay."

Jackson was cleared of molestation charges last June.

:spinnen ALSO BITTE!!!!!!!

I think this item should be removed forthwith. The Metro is a free tabloid and very anti Michael. As you can see it chose to rehash old rumours and fail to give accurate accounts and only including Michaels asian tour
