  • Michael Jackson’s Son Prince, Snake Charmer, On School Trip to Cuba

    by Roger Friedman - March 23, 2014 4:25 pm

This is not Snakes on a Plane 2: Michael Jackson traveled all over the
planet but he never visited Cuba. So now his son, Michael Joseph
Jackson, Jr., aka Prince, gets the chance. Prince sent out an
Instagram selfie holding plane tickets to Cuba. He left on Friday with
his school group from the Buckley School in Los Angeles. Yes, that is
correct. I think when I was 17 our school trips were to the Statue of
Liberty and the PT Barnum Museum. We have stopped at McDonald’s.
    But times change!

Prince also has become something of a snake charmer. According to
his Twitter account, the son of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe is
raising snakes at his family home in Calabasas, California. The snakes
are named Sparta and Athens, and they live in a cage Prince built for
them himself. According to my source: “Basically Prince was raised in
a zoo– Neverland– so now he’s got all kinds of animals. Katherine
[Jackson, his grandmother], isn’t crazy about the idea.”

As for Paris Jackson, although she makes trips home on breaks, it
does look like she’s going to stay at her boarding school in Utah until
she graduates from high school. Last June she tried to commit suicide,
and eventually was sent to the school. My source says she doesn’t like
it, but Mrs. Jackson “is afraid to bring her home.” In any case, Paris
appeared in a couple of photos on Prince’s account recently and
    looked very happy.

Meantime, two books are coming in June around the time of the 5th
anniversary of Michael’s death. One of them purports to deal with
Michael’s finances after his 2005 and then really touts the executors
of his estate as miracle workers. (The Jackson fans will probably
boycott that one.) The other is by two bodyguards who were with
Michael post-trial for a couple of years, but not with him when he
    died.

One last piece of Jacksonian trivia: Majestik the Magnificent, the
Jackson family friend and personal magician, has been quite ill. He
just posted– or someone posted for him on Facebook– an update. But
I’m told he’s been hospitalized for some time, possibly thanks to a
brain tumor that immobilized him. Majestik had been staying at the
original Jackson home, Hayvenhurst, thanks to the largesse of
Katherine Jackson. Everyone wishes him a speedy recovery.

    Michael and books ~

Michael's idea of children's 'time out' ~ read a book! And I am certain that Prince, Paris and Blanket enjoyed many books read to them by Michael.

Teddy Riley ~ "He read them a book every day. When we were in Virginia during the Invincible sessions, there was not one day missed reading the children something. So that showed me right there that he was an incredible father. He w...as like, 'I would never have them go through the same things ever [similar to Michael's childhood] in their lives,' Riley said. "He was like, 'I think the best scolding for children was a time-out.' The best scolding for children was 'Let's read a book.'
[Although Teddy respected Michael's hands-on approach with his kids, he did think he was kind of a pushover when it came to discipline. 'I have to say this, but his time-outs were not as bad as, you know, our time-outs,' he laughed. He sent them to the bunks with no TV. For me, that's a good time-out. But the kids, they knew what it was.'] ~ Teddy Riley VHI 2009

On a visit to the Strand Bookstore ~ "Prince Michael brought over an oversized book on collectable toys, barely able to carry it. He said in the cutest little voice; "Dad, can I have this" Michael lovingly smiled and asked if he was going to read it. He replied, "Yes." ~ Nancy Bass Wyden

The importance of reading books to children ~ From Michael's Oxford Speech ~ 'In Britain, as many as 20% of families will only sit down and have dinner together once a year. Once a year! And what about the time-honoured tradition of reading your kid a bedtime story? Research from the 1980s showed that children who are read to, had far greater literacy and significantly outperformed their peers at school. And yet, less than 33% of British children ages two to eight have a regular bedtime story read to them. You may not think much of that until you take into account that 75% of their parents DID have that bedtime story when they were that age'

  • We just got off the phone with Debbie Rowe ... who stopped laughing long enough to tell us the story out that she's engaged is "ridiculous and not true."
E! just ran a story saying Rowe is engaged to former Michael Jackson confidante/former gay porn producer Marc Schaffel, noting the big ring on her finger.
    Rowe
-- who was married to Michael Jackson -- tells us they're "Just Friends" and have been friends for years but they are "absolutely, positively not engaged."

Hey, when you're with MJ ... you never go back.

  • TMZ: DEBBIE ROWE
    I'm Going to Court
    TO GET MICHAEL JACKSON'S KIDS

Debbie Rowe will wage legal war to get guardianship of the 2 kids she had with Michael Jackson ... and if she could she'd gladly take all 3.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Rowe is deeply concerned about the environment in the Jackson home. She likes Katherine Jackson but believes she has gotten way too old to serve as guardian ... "Katherine's not connected with the kids or involved in their lives" Rowe told a friend.

Rowe is also concerned Michael's brothers are hanging around the Calabasas house a lot and have been a terrible influence. She's complained Prince has developed a filthy mouth and is rebellious because no one is even trying to keep him in line.

Rowe is especially upset with Jermaine, who will appear on "Celebrity Wife Swap." Rowe thinks he's just plain creepy and extremely inappropriate, and wants him as far away from the kids as possible.

She feels Blanket --- the 12-year-old who is not her biological kid -- is actually the most vulnerable and most in danger.

As for Paris ... Rowe fears she's not made the kind of improvement which is necessary after her suicide attempt and wants control so she can take steps to ensure her safety.

TJ Jackson is a co-guardian ... we're told Rowe likes him but is worried that he's been on tour and away from the kids for long stretches.

Rowe will file legal docs asking the judge to appoint her guardian so she can move the children to her ranch in Palmdale CA, where she has a business raising and breeding horses.

Fact is ... Rowe has not asked the Estate for money and our sources say she's not interested in a payday. She wants the kids because she loves them and fears for their well-being
