London: Pop superstar Michael Jackson has re-recorded the charity single "From The Bottom Of My Heart" after he scrapped the first version.
Contactmusic.com reports that Jackson wrote and recorded the track that is planned as a hurricane disaster benefit single. But his publicist said Jackson was unhappy with the final version and planned to re-title and re-record the song.
Publicist Raymone Bain explained, "He thought it was a good time to do the vocals." Bain also revealed that Jackson would also publicly announce the new title of the single in the next few days.

Michael Jackson has scrapped the first version of his charity single From The Bottom Of My Heart and is now re-recording it in Los Angeles.
Jackson wrote and recorded the track, which is planned as a hurricane disaster benefit single, in London recently.
But his publicist Raymone Bain reveals Jackson is unhappy with the finished version, and plans to retitle and re-record the song.
And he's using the fact that many of the artists he wants to join him on the record are in Los Angeles for the 25th anniversary celebrations of cable TV channel Bet to speed the recording process along.
Bain explains, "He thought it was a good time to do the vocals."
Bain adds that Jackson will publicly announce the new title of the single in the next few days.

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Work has taken place at a Los Angeles recording studio in the past few days for a Michael Jackson -penned single to benefit victims of the recent hurricanes, Billboard.com has learned.
Although the song was originally titled "From the Bottom of My Heart," Jackson spokesperson Raymone Bain says the artist will unveil a new name for the track in the coming days.
Bain says that since early this month, Jackson "was in London tweaking the music as well as putting the finishing touches on it before sending it out to various artists" who he wanted to contribute. However, Jackson wound up rewriting the song, and as such, "he didn‘t need as many artists as he originally had planned for" when it came time to record.
Since a number of the acts were planning on being in Los Angeles this week for BET‘s 25th anniversary celebration, which took place Wednesday, "he thought it was a good time to do the vocals," Bain says. Although she declined to name specific contributors, sources confirm R&B ingenue Ciara, rapper Snoop Dogg and gospel veteran Shirley Caesar have been on hand at Conway Studios.
Jackson himself is not in Los Angeles and is understood to have participated in the sessions via satellite and phone.
"There are others who have to lay vocals well," Bain says. "(Jackson) plans on getting together with them for the chorus. We still have two to three more steps before the song will be ready for release."

Other Artists Start Recording For Charity Single

Michael Jackson's spokesperson Raymone Bain has confirmed that other artists have started recording their vocals for the Hurricane relief charity single at Conway Studios in Los Angeles.
Michael is not in Los Angeles himself according to Billboard.com, but has participated with the recording sessions in the past two nights via satellite and phone. Although Bain did say Michael plans on getting together with the other artists for the chorus.
Bain also announced that the original title of the song, From The Bottom Of My Heart, has since changed and the song no longer needed as many artists as first planned. The new title is expected to be announced in the coming days.
The song was famously worked on earlier this month in London as Michael was "tweaking the music as well as putting the finishing touches on it before sending it out to various artists," according to Bain.
Artists have now recently been visiting Conway Studios and although Bain would not confirm anything, it is said that Ciara, Snoop Dogg and Shirley Caesar have contributed. Michael "thought it was a good time to do the vocals" this week as many artists are in L.A. for BET's 25th Anniversary Celebration.
Although it seems the single will be due soon, Bain explained, "We still have two to three more steps before the song will be ready for release."

Das klingt ja beinahe so, als ob Michael einen ganz neuen, also eine ZWEITEN Song aufgenommen hat, weil er mit dem ersten unzufrieden war. Das merkt er aber echt schnell.
Was passiert jetzt mit dem ersten Song? Wahrscheinlich nichts.
Interessant finde ich nebenbei, dass wohl nach einigen Berichten Mariah Carey gestern auch in LA war.
Jetzt wissen wir wenigstens, dass schonmal auch andere Künstler ihre Parts aufgenommen haben, kann sich jetzt also nur noch um Monate handeln! Wenn jetzt ein erneuter Termin gesucht wird, an dem ALLE Künstler den Refrain aufnehmen. Also muss Michael wohl doch noch in die USA!

Jackson sei unzufrieden mit der ersten Aufnahme und suche außerdem einen neuen Titel für den Song, sagte sein Pressesprecher Raymone Bain. Nachdem er im Juni von dem Vorwurf des Kindesmissbrauchs freigesprochen wurde, bedeutet die Single für Jackson die Rückkehr ins Musikgeschäft. Die erste Version entstand in London. Die Überarbeitung findet in Los Angeles statt, weil viele der mitwirkenden Stars sich zurzeit dort aufhalten. «Er fand, dass dies eine gute Gelegenheit für die Gesangs-Aufnahmen sei», erklärte Bain. Jackson will den neuen Namen der Single in den nächsten Tagen bekannt geben.

I wüßte nicht das wir sicher wissen wer da überhaupt für aufgenommen hat...das Michael da nochmal was ändert und "Nicht mehr so viele Künstler braucht" deutet eher darauf hin, dass er mehr alleine machen muss....

Ja, aber vielleicht ist es gar nicht mal so schlecht, wenn nicht mehr so viele andere dabei mitmachen. Denn: So kriegen wir immerhin mehr von Michael zu hören.
