Just curious how popular is Michael in Germany right now? In the United States he's not that popular anymore. He used to be a God among men here, but now he's really not that popular.
Invincible sold only 2 million here in the United States, and after the trial his popularity here took a terrible nose dive.
But how popular is he in Germany? Is he popular or mega huge or not that popular? And how do his current standings compare to before the trial took place?
Most people here pretend they don't like him, but everybody knows everybody is lying. Back in the old days almost every person alive in my country agreed and admitted he was the most talented musician of all time, and now all the sudden they pretend like they never liked him.
How popular is Michael in Germany right now?

At the moment, he is being slaughtered in the truest sence of the word. The media have been having a GREAT time really tearing into Michael since the WMAs.
The hype here was INCREDIBLY huge. All the big TV stations were hyping the WMAs as the big MJ comeback.
And then when it was over, they tore him up.
It got so bad that even fans started saying it was crap. Mind you, none of them were THERE.
Other than that I guess it's not that bad. People make jokes about him and stuff, and sometimes it's very mean... But there isn't this huge negative obsession with Michael Jackson that you get on some US-networks.

Funnily enough as far as the fans are concerned... Young people are discovering Michael all the time... We get many new people here who became fans through Invincible etc. and who didn't like Michael untill a few years ago.

I think, most of the people just don't admit that they like him! don't ask me why...
but most of them respect him, except for media

Deep in their hearts every clever being adores MJ.
Many people are just blind and ignorant and when they get to know MJ and see and hear what he is doing they are impressed.
Many people I talk to are being convinced that MJ is not portrayed as it should be. It is sad but true that we really have to explain MJ and his personality before most people understand what this whole business is all about.
But finally you can be sure MJ will absolutely be loved. -
