U.K. terrestrial television channel ITV1 is to air a one off hour and half
special about Michael Jackson.
The One And Only Michael Jackson will air from 9pm-1030pm next Friday, 29th December.
It is unsure whether or not the content will be positive, negative, factual or riddled with rumours
but it's still a large slot on prime time TV during the much watched Christmas and New Year period for Michael fans to watch.
According to ITV1, the show will have an "insight into the musical talents
that established Michael Jackson as the undisputed king of pop in the 1980s."
It will feature interviews with his family members and artists such as Liza Minnelli and Smokey Robinson will discuss Michael's abilities as a songwriter.
ITV are not new to airing Michael specials, having featured the 2001 30th Anniversary Madison Square Garden concerts in their listings
as well as the now infamous Living with Michael Jackson in 2003.
The network was scheduled to air a special in November 2003 but they
(wrongly in many fans opinion) pulled it from the airwaves when allegations against Michael went public and his
Neverland home was raided. It is not known whether or not this is the same special.
