  • Michael Jackson To Launch Clothing Line

Michael Jackson, 49, whose unique fashion sense ranges from sequined gloves to surgical masks, is working on a new clothing line with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier.

“It’s still in the developing stages, but it’s going to be big,” an insider tells Life & Style. “This will be a major comeback for Michael. He’s dedicating a lot of his time and money to this venture.”

MJ’s line will soon be available at L.A. boutique Kitson.

  • MJ and Christian Audigier Clothing Line?

    Jun 13 2008, 05:26AM

Last month, after Michael Jackson made a surprise appearance at Christian Audigier's 50th birthday celebration in Los Angeles, Audigier commented briefly in a post-party interview that they were looking into the possibility of launching a new clothing line together. Now, new reports have surfaced in Life & Style magazine and elsewhere which indicate that this planned partnership between Jackson and Audigier is indeed moving forward.

X17 exclusively reports that the two will launch a new $14 million clothing venture at the Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas on July 4th, with Audigier and Jackson acting as co-designers for the new products. According to X17, the new shop (which will be replacing the Tangerine night club) will feature "clothing inspired by glitzy, glamorous Las Vegas shows."

MJJR.net Trivia: For decades, clothing stores around the globe have unveiled Michael Jackson inspired (and at times officially endorsed) clothing products, and this certainly wouldn't be the first time that Jackson has personally gotten involved in the business. In the late-1980s, Jackson partnered with L.A. Gear to release a line of customized shoes (unfortunately this partnership ended on a sour note for all parties). The Japan-based clothing store, Wakita, has also had an officially licensed line of Michael Jackson products for numerous years. Recently, Roberto Cavalli also introduced Thriller-themed designer clothes as part of his "Summer 2008 for Men" line-up.

  • Audigier Linked To Las Vegas Nightclub Project

BRITNEY SPEARS and MICHAEL JACKSON's favourite designer, CHRISTIAN AUDIGIER, is in negotiations to open a nightclub in Las Vegas.

The Ed Hardy clothing line chief is to take over the Tangerine nightclub space at Sin City's Treasure Island resort, according to TheVegasEye.com.

Plans to turn the spot into a tattoo shop and nightclub collaboration with Pure Management and Miami Ink have fallen through, according to the website, and now Audigier is stepping in to take over the space.

Sources claim Audigier will create a nightclub and a new Ed Hardy store at Treasure Island.

If the new club/store project goes ahead it's sure to be a star-studded affair - Spears and Jackson both attended the French designer's recent 50th birthday celebrations (23May08).

Jackson is reportedly working on a new clothing line with Audigier.

  • Michael Jackson And Christian Audigier To Collaborate

Michael Jackson is reportedly striking up a deal with fashion designer Christian Audigier. MJ is working with the Ed Hardy designer on the very first stages of a clothing line. The two are hoping it gets really big, and Michael is dedicating a lot of his time to the design of the clothes.

Well as long as he's spending as much time in the studio, it's fine with us! Could the two be designing wardrobe for Michael's upcoming tour when the album is released? We'll keep you updated!

  • Michael Jackson to launch clothing line?

    Publication date: 13 June 2008

After several years of battling financial difficulties, it seems Michael Jackson may be seeking a new way to earn some cash – as fashion designer.

Reports today are saying the ‘Thriller’ star is getting together with Christian Audigier of Ed Hardy to design a line of clothing, but apparently it’s still too early to say what kind of designs will surface.

Tabloid weekly Life & Style says “It’s still in the developing stages, but it’s going to be big. This will be a major comeback for Michael. He’s dedicating a lot of his time and money to this venture.”

Jackson recently pulled out of a scheduled appearance on ‘American Idol’ on May 21 after he suffered a dose of stage fright.

He recently avoided losing his Neverland Ranch after the foreclosure auction was cancelled. The ranch reportedly fell into disrepair after Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005.//NME News
