Noch ein paar Infos zu den Tracks "Victory", "Men In Black" und Informationen zur Arbeit von will.i.am mit Michael:
"My sister who follows Queen (or did should I say) tells me there are several demos of Michael & Freddie amongst the Queen fans community. There are of course some fakes for There Must Be More To Life Than This. But she tells me there is a demo or two for Victory and for State Of Shock. There is dialogue in one State Of Shock demo where there is some mutterings between the pair. My sister tells me shes heard the Victory one once at a Queen convention and its like a Queen song more so than a Michael Jackson record. Brian May has been contacting Michael's management for years to get the song on a compilation of rare stuff with no avail."
"Victory does exist, freddy mercury mentioned it in an interview I used to have. This song is rumored to exist in at least 3 versions :
- An MJ/FM version
- A Jacksons version (possibly meant for the victory album)
- A Queen version which had new backing vocals added to in 2002 for a boxset release. The track finally didn't make the release but some acetates of this seem to exist.
I would love to hear it too. I've been looking for it for years.
I think the song was originally written for a mercury solo project.
The Jacksons version is, in my opinion, the only one which is questionable."
"Yes I got that. I just can't figure out why you talk about it as if it might not exist or if it wasn't sure.
As the song has been explicitely mentioned by someone who was involved in its recording, I can't understand why its existence seems to be questionned this much.
The song was even re-worked on around 2002 for possible release (apparently backing vocals were added).
There are also some rumours saying that around this time, MJ, Brian May and Roger Taylor spent a day together in a london recording studio. Which could mean that MJ might have been involved in this release project."
Here's a clip from Adrians account of his visit To Michael's studio in 1990.
He describes like i would have.
