    nicht ungewöhnlich.
    erstens kommt es sehr stark auf die art der beleuchtung an,
    zweitens benutzt mike immer wieder auch nen deckenden nagellack.
    für so nen edlen event, wo man ihm so nah kommt, wird er sicher auch besonderen wert auf perfektes aussehen gelegt haben :top


    btw... wer auch immer derzeit für sein outfit/styling und make-up zuständig ist - er/sie versteht sein handwerk um lichtjahre besser als seine ex-visagistin karen faye :Q

    Ich bin auf seine Rede gespannt, ich hoffe wir bekommen die im Laufe des Tages irgendwo als Video noch zu sehen. Was er da wohl so alles sagen wird? Hoffentlich mehr als "I Love Japan!":D

    TOKYO (AFP) - They paid 3,400 dollars each and were dressed in their evening finest, but Michael Jackson fans still needed to shiver in the cold for nearly an hour to see the reclusive former King of Pop.


    Jackson was the star attraction at a party Thursday in Tokyo where hundreds of fans could spend a matter of seconds with him -- if they paid 400,000 yen for a ticket.


    But the guests, many wearing tuxedos and evening gowns, first had to stand in the chilly evening outside the venue as they waited for the superstar to show up.


    Jackson arrived around nearly an hour late in a black van and then disappeared into the club to a sea of shrieks and screams.


    A group of young women held up a banner reading "Michael" with the letters made up of drawings of the singer strutting his stuff.


    Aya, a 20-year-old student, said she had been preparing the banner with her friends since November.


    "Although we didn't get tickets, we'll be happy if he could just see our banner. I'm excited," said Aya, who declined to give her family name.


    "I could't buy a ticket because of the price, but I don't think it's too expensive. It's just that I'm a student and can't afford it now."


    Promoters said they sold more than 300 tickets -- meaning the party would rake in at least 120 million yen (one million dollars).


    Jackson is reported to be suffering serious financial problems as he struggles to rebuild his career.


    The former child star was acquitted in 2005 of child molestation charges and fled his Neverland ranch in California. He has since spent much of his time in seclusion in Bahrain.


    Jackson was due to deliver a speech at the party. But while dinner guests will get to take their picture with him, he was not scheduled to perform.

    Fans fork out $3,400 to chat with Jackson in Japan

    TOKYO (Reuters) - Excited fans got the chance to meet Michael Jackson in Tokyo on Thursday -- but only those who could afford to pay 400,000 yen ($3,400) for the privilege.


    Fans of the "King of Pop" screamed as he arrived by van at the venue in the Japanese capital for the event, at which he had promised to chat and take pictures with up to 300 guests, but not to sing or dance.


    They were not put off by the price.


    "I would pay 10 times that amount any time anywhere," said Carlo Riley, a Jackson fan and impersonator with long black hair and a black surgical mask, who danced as he waited in line.


    Riley said he flew from the United States especially to meet Jackson face-to-face. "If they do it again, I'll pay it again -- easily," he added.


    Since being acquitted of child molestation charges at a trial that ended in June 2005, Jackson has mostly kept a low profile, spending time in Bahrain and Ireland.


    He last visited Japan, where he has a huge fan base, in May to accept a music award. Since arriving at the weekend, he has been mobbed by fans during a shopping trip and a visit to Disneyland.


    In November, Jackson sang at an awards ceremony in London, his first public performance since the trial, but his efforts were panned by critics.

    Und immerhin dauert das auch so seine Zeit für über 300 Fotos zu stehen, naja, aber bald sollte es wohl wirklich mal Fotos geben... :)
