    THE LAST ACTION HIPPIE :D

    rubba said :
mj was aware that the prince wants to sue him, they try to find a settlement, but ...
This is one of the reasons there is no statement about a record company yet, some negociations had been done some with majors and the "projet" is a near to be a "wrap" but sadly don't hope anything for 2007.

Rubba said on the French board that the new album tentativly named 7EVEN will most likely be released by Sony/BMG, would that mean that Michael was still signed to Sony all the way long and that could void his contract with 2 Seas Records?

I'm still trying to figure that out. Micheal's official contract with Epic (SONY/BMG) ended after Invincible (well with Ultimate and Visionary) BUT he always has, and still is listed as a Sony artist under Epic. That hasn't changed at all. Epic doesn't list (i could be wrong I need to confirm this) the other artists that it had that are no longer with them does it?

I know this is what Rubba said and I actually agree that Michael will most probably have his new album distributed via Sony/BMG, it makes total sense and could be part of a deal to allow Sony/BMG into limited publishing with their other artists, it would be win, win and WIN for Michael if that happened and he does have the upper hand coz Sony wants BMG to move into publishing....
Michael may have the option to get his album distributed there for next to nothing where he keeps his songs (published under MiJac) and gets free distribution and Marketing for the album plus pocketing 100% profits from his album. BMG gets a limited chance for publishing, and gets lots more publicity if Michael really sells well and has a huge comeback, its always good for a label to say "their" artist outsold, broke records.
