    Habe eine Frage an alle Sammler:


    Weiß jemand ob und wo eine PHYSIKALISCHE CD von "We Are The World 25 For Haiti" kommerziell veröffentlicht wurde? Oder hat schon mal jemand eine PROMO davon gesehen???

    Soweit ich weiß, gibt es gar keine physikalische CD davon. Habe vor ein paar Wochen bei meinem Plattenhändler meines Vertrauens (Saturn :D) nachgefragt. Die sagten, es würde nur Downloads geben. Schade eigentlich. Ob die Aussage in Stein gemeisselt ist, weiß ich natürlich auch nicht.

    Sun set driver : What is the real year when the song has been recorded ? because in the list is mentionned 1978 but in the book for the records is mentionned 1982 as the list here and the credits of ultimate collection ?? :?


    second: Can i have more info of this :
    One of five hand-written lyrics from 1979 that have been purchased by Universal
    Express and some of its entertainment partners in November 2006. The others are:
    A Baby Smiles, Be Not Always, In The Life Of Chico, Little Susie


    What was the deal ? This songs are now own by universal ? it is impossible now to hear this songs in the future ? for exemple on otw 30 th ?

    welcome to our forum! English ain't a problem for many members here, so just feel free to continue asking questions whenever you have some. People here might help you if they know more.


    Concerning "Sunset Driver": We aren't 100% sure when it was recorded. One is for sure, the song was written by Michael for OFF THE WALL and then either recorded in 1979 or 1982 (for THRILLER).
    The booklet from THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION has a few errors (like "Unbreakable" recorded in 2002!), that's why I wouldn't pay much attention to it.


    From analyzing his voice I personally tend to believe this was recorded in 1978, but you can never be 100% sure until someone from the studio staff like Bruce Swedien or Quincy Jones actually confirms it.



    Concerning this auction: I can't remember much atm, but if you google for it, you should find out that the songs have not been auctioned off (--> *LINK*), but as these were certainly not the only copies plus the fact that this company has been revealed to be acting criminal, there's no doubt these recordings will be released one day.



    Don't confuse "Universal Express" with UMG (Universal Music Group) that now owns Motown Recordings, they are two different companies and "Universal Express" has committed crimes in the past.

    Let's say 99% have been recorded. We can never be sure as long as we don't have access to all of MJ's recordings. :D

    Mal am Rande. Jemand im MJJC behauptet, ihm wurde eine CD angeboten, die von Michael gesungene Studio-Versionen von mehreren Disney-Songs beinhaltet:

    Er selbst schreibt, dass er bisher nur in 'When You Wish Upon A Star' hinneinhören durfte, ein Song, den Michael ja Anfang der 80er auch einmal in einem Disney-Special sang. Die anderen Songs hat er noch nicht gehört.


    Vielleicht klingt das Ganze etwas unrealistisch, aber wer weiss? Wir wissen, was Michael für ein Disney-Fan war, und komplett unrealistisch halte ich persönlich nicht, dass er auch einige Disney-Songs selbst aufgenommen hat. Er soll ja auch sehr, sehr viele Beatles-Songs, dazu Elvis-Songs und andere Lieder, die er persönlich mochte, aufgenommen haben. Kategorisch ausschließen würde ich so etwas nicht, auch wenn es in diesem Fall irgendwie ein wenig unwirklich erscheint.

    Wie geschrieben: Ich würde gern irgendwann nochmal eine Liste mit den Songs eröffnen, für die es nur wenige Anhaltspunkte gibt. Diese Liste müsste man dann aber von der eigentlichen klar trennen und diese als 'Gerüchte' kennzeichnen.

    wusste gar nich das Michael mal was zu unveröffentlichtem Material gesagt hat.

    das ist nur die "Spitze des Eisbergs". Die gesamte Anhörung geht über mehrere Stunden. Natürlich geht es bei diesem Testimony nicht nur um unreleased Songs; Grund der Verhandlung/Anhörung waren Plagiatsvorwürfe bzgl. Dangerous.
