glenda: sounds terrible.
mj: (englischer akzent und höhere stimme - als wenn es ihm jemand anbieten wollte): would you like a spotted dick? normale stimme: sounds interesting... i don't think so... my commercial is running...
denke eher nicht, dass er das auf sich selbst bezogen hat. *gg*
die kompletten glenda transcripts gibts beim kop-board! ![]()

1-1
Glenda: Sounds terrible! (laughs)
Michael (in a British accent): Would you like a spotted dick?
Glenda: That's so funny! (both laughing)
Michael: Would you like a spotted dick?
Glenda: Sounds interesting!
Michael: I don't think so!
1-2
Michael: Joseph used to beat us all the time and... (inaudible).... He would, he would just (inaudible)... And I bought into that, he was like, "Oh you put on a few pounds." The only thing that I could control in my life, what with Motown... 'cause they tell you- when we used to go on Carson or Mike Douglas or whatever back then, when we used to do interviews as the Jackson Five, you know when you're in this kind of thing they (inaudible few seconds).... "Do you have a girlfriend?" "No." (Inaudible) You know, they dictate to you everything. What you wear, what you sing. 'Cause back then we weren't allowed to sing our own stuff. They dictate to you what you can wear... If you're on an interview, if you're going on Carson, "This is what you say, this is what don't say." The only control I had over my life was eating. I had no control. We had no control. *clears throat* I didn't, I didn't... I wasn't like my brothers. People, they're angry and they take it out on others. I was angry, but I took it out on myself. (Inaudible, something about Joseph again), when we were rehearsing on 2300- where we used to live. If I danced wrong, if I sang the wrong word, I'd get the hell beat out of me, I'd get thrown in the basement. But instead of taking that out on other people, I withdrew and I'd take it out on myself. There was nothing I could control in my life but my eating. And Joseph told me, "Oh, you're so black, you have such a big nose."
Glenda: He told you you were black?
Michael: Yeah. When I was little. "You look so black, you don't look like my child. Your nose is so big" and this and that. They used to call me Big Nose and stuff. And instead of retaliating on them, I just did it with myself.
1-3
Michael: God, I'd fight Joseph back and I would get my @ss beat. Then I used to run and I threw a shirt (inaudible)
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: And he'd knock me down on the floor, 'cause we were rehearsing in our living room (inaudible). He'd knock the [piss] outta me. And we were supposed to perform somewhere the next day. And he knocked me down so hard, I [knocked] my rib. And I was little...
Glenda: Mhm.
Michael: So I got up, I was so serious [furious?]. They talk about me being conceited, you know?
Glenda: Mhm.
Michael: I got up, and I was crying and stuff. And I said, "Joseph, if you hit me again, I'm not performing!"
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: He's like, "What the @#$% did you say?"
Glenda: (gasps)
Michael: I'm like, "You hit me again, Joseph"- I couldn't, I wasn't even nine years old (inaudible). I said, "Joseph, if you hit me again"- and I was crying my eyes out- I said, "If you hit me again, I am NOT performing."
Glenda: (sympathetic sigh)
Michael: And he left me alone.
Glenda: (laugh)
Michael: I said, "I'm not doin' the show!" He said, "Don't you know I will kick your (inaudible)." And I got up (inaudible) and I said, "You hit me again and I won't perform." And he knew I was the star performer...
Glenda: Haha, yeah, really??
Michael: And he didn't hit me.
Glenda: Well, you had some leverage there. (laughs)
Michael: My brothers used to say, "Mike, you crazy, man, you crazy." And then when I would go to sleep at night, he would always scare us. He would be banging on the windows and stuff, and open the windows and poke in his head.
Glenda: That's horrible. That's awful-
Michael: Well you read that (inaudible) book, you read it.
Glenda: Oh, I don't- It's been a while since I read that book, I don't remember everything.
Michael: Yeah... he used to scare us in the middle of the night. We would be sleeping, and we had to get up early in the morning, we had to have rehearsal, get going, (inaudible)
Glenda: God.
Michael: And he'd bang on the windows and we'd look out the windows and he had a monster mask on.
Glenda: (gasps)
Michael: (inaudible, he may have been imitating scared whining)
Glenda: How horrible.
Michael: And we'd get in trouble for crying.
1-4
Glenda: Hello?
Michael: Hey!
Glenda: Hey.
Michael: How you doing?
Glenda: Fine, how are you?
Michael: [Oh, I'm doing very good.]
Glenda: You sound real good.
Michael: Yeah. I'm [We're?] having a great time.
Glenda: That's wonderful. I bet you're excited, huh?
Michael: Yeah I (inaudible) [like the show?]
Michael or Glenda: (some sort of yelp)
Glenda: Are you all ready?
Michael: Yeah. I know, you know, I know it's gonna be (inaudible)
Glenda: I can't even imagine the excitement you must be feeling.
Michael: Yeah, I'm, you know, I'm still on American time.
Glenda: Yeah?
Michael: (Inaudible), we had soundchecks today. (Inaudible)
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: How was your trip?
Glenda: Oh it was just fine, it was very nice. So you, um- how long will the show be, how long does it last?
Michael: Tonight?
Glenda: Yeah.
Michael: Well, a couple hours, you know (Inaudible). It's gonna have pyrotechnics and it's gonna have... it's gonna have a lot of, you know, stuff like that 'cause I looove that kind of stuff. And it's gonna have a (inaudible)
Glenda: (chuckling while he talks)
Michael: I love it, I never wanna come home.
Glenda: (chuckle)
Michael: And you know I'm gonna (inaudible). Oh God, I love it! I love this. Yeah.
Glenda: That's wonderful.
Michael: (inaudible)
Glenda: I can hear (inaudible- "a new voice"?)
Michael: (inaudible) and I'm doing my vocal exercises. (inaudible)
Glenda: Is your voice in top form?
Michael: Yeah!
Glenda: (clears throat) Are you feeling okay?
Michael: I'm doing great. [I'm wonderful.] You know, I was kinda (inaudible) [in Mexico], but now that I'm here (inaudible).
Glenda: (laughter)
Michael: (Inaudible) I was (inaudbile) to this hospital, and we (inaudible). I been back and forth already [to Germany?] And we, um, were on a helicopter ride and it's beautiful. (Inaudible bits- comments about "a lot of green" and more "beautiful"). And it was called
******This next part I didn't even get the gist of. It seems like he was trying to pronounce something and she just giggled at him.******
Michael: Sheee..sjdskdjaskj.. wooonnnn.... sheee... cheeee (trying to pronounce it, haha!)
Glenda: Yeah... Yeah.
Michael: And, and... yeah.
Michael and Glenda: (chuckle)
Michael: And King (inaudible) used to rule there. (Inaudible, Glenda seems to be touching or handling the receiver in a way that drowns him out). They say he was-
Glenda: Hold on. Hey! Go ahead. '
Michael: (mumble)
Glenda: (inaudible- Sounds almost like "Kevin found out"? Who's "Kevin?")
Michael: What?
Glenda: (Whispers the inaudible phrase) He wants to say hello to you. (Inaudible). Is that alright?
Michael: Yeah!
Glenda: (mumble)
Michael: How you do that?
Michael or Glenda's end: I been up since (inaudible), what are you talking about?
Glenda: (After a long silence, whispering) You can keep talking, he won't hear you.
Michael: Oh. (Inaudible- something about going to Cologne? Brussels? And Munich? I might be dead wrong.)
Glenda: Really?
Michael: We're gonna go to the zoo in (inaudible). And we're gonna go to the (inaudible). And I would hope, I don't know, but (inaudible).
Glenda: (laugh)
Michael: (presumably to someone in the background) I [grew/knew/threw/something ending with '-ew'] it, I really did!
Glenda: Hello?
Michael: Hi.
Glenda: Hi.
**********This part was hard, too. He says something in a foreign language, she says "I don't know what that means" and he explains it. She asks again, he explains again. Then he says something. She gasps, "No!" and he says, "Yeah, it's really weird. Yeah, but in Germany it's different."**********
Glenda: When we lived in South Africa (inaudible seconds) when we came back we were ahead of everybody. They caught up like three years later.
Michael: Isn't that weird?
Glenda: Yeah, it was! (chuckle) It was weird.
************Inaudible, giggling***************
Michael: Did you see the card that I sent (inaudible, might have been "you" or "him")?
Glenda: Yes, I did. It was very sweet. He liked it.
Michael: (Inaudible)
Glenda: Well yeah, you haven't talked to him in ages. He's been gone a lot, though. He's (inaudible).
Michael: I love (inaudible).
Glenda: Mm? You know what's really weird?
Michael: (Inaudible)
Glenda: Okay.
Michael: Today and yesterday, like on the top of your head, like on the right side, a really sharp pain (inaudible). And it was a really, really sharp pain.
Glenda: Have you ever had those before?
Michael: No. No, I haven't... I mean, I had them earlier, and I (inaudible).
Glenda: Maybe you're just (inaudible- they exhange a few more unclear words).
Michael: But they won't go away. And they're real sharp pains, just like on the very top of my head on the right side.
Glenda: Oh.
Glenda and Michael: (Inaudible)
Glenda: Are you taking your medicine?
Michael: Yeah.
Glenda: Are you eating?
Michael: ...Yeah.
Glenda: (laugh)
Michael: We have this thing (inaudible). I didn't, I didn't taste it- EAGHH. Actually, when I heard about it (inaudible). Did you see the movie King [Ralph (I'm almost certain of this one)]?
Glenda: No.
Michael: (Inaudible: throws out "London" and "pastry") .....Spotted Dick.
Michael and Glenda: (both laughing)
Michael: It looks good.
*************1-1, I realized, was an excerpt of this conversation****************
Glenda: Sounds terrible! (laughs)
Michael (in a British accent): Would you like a spotted dick?
Glenda: That's so funny! (both laughing)
Michael: Would you like a spotted dick?
Glenda: Sounds interesting!
Michael: I don't think so!
Glenda: (laugh)
Michael: My commercial's running on.
Glenda: What commercial?
Michael: (inaudible)
Glenda: Is it?
Michael: Yeah.
Glenda: I've never seen it, is it here?
Michael: Oh no, you don't see it there.
Glenda: Why?
Michael: (Inaudible)
Glenda: (laugh) Whyyy?
Michael: Did (inaudible)?
Glenda: Yeah.
Michael: (Inaudible) I'm not really (inaudible), because of the fact that (inaudible).
Glenda: Well, I guess not. [The country just isn't, so much?]
Michael: Well, you know. (Fuzzy, sounds like "There's not very many black people" somewhere.]
Glenda: [There's not?]
Michael: No.
Glenda: You know, the German women really like black men.
Michael: Yeah, so do the women over, um, in (inaudible- I can't figure it out for the life of me).
Glenda: Is there?
Michael: Black men (inaudible) to be there. [They (inaudible- it's either 'don't' or 'really', quite a difference) appreciate black men.
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: Yeah, but they, they really like the black men.
Glenda: (giggle)
Michael: (Inaudible for about 5-10 seconds) So green, and so brilliant, and so beautiful. It's brilliant.
Glenda: It sounds lovely.
Michael: I guess I (inaudible).
Glenda: Really?
Michael: I guess I have a lot more (inaudible).
Glenda: I guess. Well, how long will you be there?
Michael: (No idea)
Glenda: (No idea)
Michael: (No idea!)
Glenda: Okay.
2-1
Glenda: Because I didn't know what I had done.
Michael: [She was just (inaudible)]
Glenda: Angry at me.
Michael: Oh.
Glenda: Because I didn't know what I had done and I was just [staring at] her, I was (inaudible), without emotion because she was getting angry... and getting my face, and I was thinking, "I am not going to let you know how much you are hurting me right now." So, "I'm not going to show you an emotion, I'm not going to show you what you're doing to me, [I'm not gonna cry]." And so after she would leave, and then I would go (inaudible), and then I would have a reaction. (Inaudible) analyze why I don't react. And I think that's the reason, because I learned a long time ago- Don't. Show. Reaction.
Michael: Don't show emotions and don't show feelings.
Glenda: Right. Don't let that person see your reaction. Don't let that person see your emotions, see what they're doing to you, analyzing (inaudible). (sound in the background) (laughs)
Michael: (After a silence) Hello?
Glenda: [Oh, I was thinking], oh, 'cause I was thinking of (inaudible- Rob/Bob/etc?). Remember when, um, (inaudible, something about "cry")?
Michael: Mmm.
Glenda: I think it was you [crying], [it sounded like you] were crying on the phone, um, 'cause you didn't want me to read that book that Taraborelli had written.
Michael: Yeah.
Glenda: (inaudible) you didn't want me to read it. (inaudible) called up and you were all upset because (inaudible) read it.
Michael: Right.
Glenda: So you were just waiting to get to know me better before you [let] me read that book?
Michael: (Silence) I didn't think you would understand me and I (inaudible).
Glenda: Really?
Michael: And...then I got to know you better. (Inaudible).
Glenda: (Inaudible).
Michael: [That's what it was] like. We just go to know each other. You know. And, uh, I didn't want you to listen to [that]. And [I thought that] (inaudible) was real close (inaudible), that close. And I didn't wanna lose that. I didn't want you to misunderstand [the book]. (Inaudible seconds) it's okay.
Glenda: And that's why you (inaudible) read the book?
Michael: Yeah. (Inaudible) A lot of things have happened [to me]. [Well, see], I mean, you don't understand, you can't empathize because you haven't been there.
Glenda: [Yeah], that's true.
Michael: Like, like, I mean, we could go over this for days and it's not even done.
Glenda: I just wanted you to know that, um... I sense(d) your loneliness [and sensitivity] and the fact that [he], like, didn't want anything (inaudible), [just wasn't possible].
Michael: (Inaudible) accepted me (inaudible- a brief jump in the audio made this hard to discern). When I was a child I wasn't allowed to (inaudible).
Glenda: Why weren't you?
Michael: Well, you read that (inaudible), in Taraborelli's book. We, we couldn't have [a] social life with other children.
********Audio jumps a couple more times, presumably ommitted parts of the conversation.*********
Michael: Tell me, which (inaudible) sounds like a (inaudible), [Remember the Time] (inaudible). Which one you like [the best]?
Glenda: (Inaudible) [the other night].
Michael: Which one?
Glenda: Huh?
Michael: Which one?
Glenda: Which one?
Michael: Yeah.
Glenda: I like Remember the Time (inaudible).
Michael: You like Remember the Time [with] (may have been Eddie Murphy). (Laughs)
Glenda: Yeah. Which one do you like?
Michael: I like Remember the Time. I like Jam- it was real fun doing it with Michael. [But] I like Remember the Time. [Ah, but] I had the most fun doing Jam, out of all of my other ones.
Glenda: You look like you were having fun!
Michael: Yeah, I had fun with Naomi, but... [I, I hate doing that] (laughs)
Glenda: (laughs) What?
Michael: She's a sweetheart, she's a (inaudible). But I had the most fun when we were in Chicago and, um, doing Jam. I had fun... [doing Jam].
Glenda: Yeah, haha.
Michael: (chuckles)
Glenda: I like the way, at the end when you get down on the floor, you're trying to move his feet.
Michael: (Laughs)
Glenda: (giggles)
Michael: Oh, god, you didn't see the making of that.
Glenda: Uh uh.
Michael: It was so funny because I was on the floor, right?
Glenda: Uh-huh.
Michael: And he put [the basketball?] my head and he held me down on the floor.
Glenda: No!
Michael and Glenda: (both laughing)
Michael: He's so big! Compared to me.
Glenda: 'Cause you're so small.
Michael: What?
Glenda: 'Cause you're so small.
Michael: I know! And it was so funny because I was down on the floor in the video, the actual video, and, uh, I was trying to make him move his feet. God, he was, like, so stiff!
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: He was (in a deeper voice), "Yeah, yeah. That's it, yeah."
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: Hold on one second, please... 'Kay?
Glenda: Okay. What else did Heavy D sing?
Michael: Heavy D did um, (inaudible). (Inaudible) yeah, Heavy D did Overweight Lovers. (Inaudible)
Glenda: Oh, is he in the video?
Michael: Yeah.
Glenda: (Inaudible) is it?
Michael: Yeah, yeah.
Glenda: Oh, really??
Michael: (in a low voice) Heavy D the Overweight Lovaaa!
Glenda: Awww, I [don't/do/so] remember that!
Michael: Yeah. I like Heavy D.
Glenda: (some sort of whimper?)
Michael: And, uh, he worked with Teddy Riley. You know, Teddy Riley, that guy. [He, he goes], "First I cooled it like a fan. Got with Janet, then with guy, then with Michael 'cause it ain't too hard for me to jam."
*********Conversation cut again.**********
Michael: I take them off [my face], I wave to the girls in the balcony and say "This is for the girls in the balcony." (Inaudible) I take them off and then I put 'em back on. [That was hard.] I didn't wanna do it.
Glenda: (Inaudible) wearing sunglasses all the time?
Michael: I wore shades for years, you know. I wear shades because... Like, like (inaudible) said, and it's true, your eyes are [like a window to your soul]. I didn't want anyone to look into my soul. You know, I didn't want anybody to [see my soul]. (Inaudible) a lot of pain and (inaudible) very scared.
Glenda: (Inaudible- "don't look solemn".)
Michael: I really don't (inaudible)?
Glenda. No. You don't.
Michael: Take a look at those eyes.
Glenda: (Mumble- "hiding the world from your face".)
Michael: (Inaudible)
Glenda: What does that mean?
Michael: That was if like, if someone, if like.... (silence) If like you see someone's eyes, or you draw a painting on the draw. It's like... did you ever see me on the cover of Bad?
Glenda: Are you asking me if I saw the cover of Bad?
Michael: Yeah.
Glenda: Yeah!
Michael: I had light contacts on and that was all airbrushed. When you see me on Dangerous- that's all airbrush. That's an airbrushing.
Glenda: Your eyes?
Michael: Yeah. I do not look that perfect.
Glenda: (sort of chuckles) Okay... (laughs) (Inaudible comment).
Michael: It's airbrushing.
Glenda: Oh, okay. Is there a reason why you just shade your eyes (inaudible)?
Michael: Because they're supposed to be like a [vision] into my soul. (Inaudible) into my soul.
Glenda: What?
Michael: That was airbrushed.
Glenda: Okay.
Michael: I'll tell you honestly what Elizabeth and I talk about sometimes. She got so... effed up (inaudible) from being a child star. And I was so screwed up (inaudible). (Inaudible- "dead"?) eyes.
Glenda: (Inaudible) eyes?
Michael: (Inaudible) look like my eyes. Those have been airbrushed. I mean, when you see someone on the cover of a magazine, or Vogue, or Rolling Stone, (inaudible), it's airbrush you know? You wanna look perfect.
Glenda: (Inaudible- something about the cover of Vogue again.)
Michael: Oh, sure it does. Of course.
Glenda: (chuckle)
Michael: But it's like, if (inaudible- something about a "Jim or somebody like that"). They'll say, "You're gonna be on the cover of um, Rolling Stone, or something like that." You'll look perfect. No matter what you have wrong with you.
Glenda: Yeah.
Michael: That's how it is in the business. You gotta look perfect.
Glenda: Well you do look perfect in that one picture on the cover of Rolling Stone where you've got your hair up and you're looking down. That's a great picture. (Inaudible) you don't look at the camera.
Michael: Because I don't want to. (Inaudible) I say on the Dangerous album, you know, a lot of things that-
**********Audio cut off.***********
2-2
Michael: [That] I'm lonely and stuff. I say that on a lot of songs.
Glenda: You say that in um in [that one good song] um, Who Is It.
Michael: [Don't you know that I'm lonely?] (Inaudible)
Glenda: Yeah.
Michael: I say that in a lot of songs. (Inaudible) like Will You Be There.
Glenda: (Inaudible) say "don't be judging".
Michael: I say what?
Glenda: "Don't be judging" (inaudible) in Who Is It.
Michael: [No/Oh. Don't be, don't be, don't be judging me.] You know I thought when I first started talking to you (inaudible).
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: I thought, my god, she understands me. I mean, she hasn't been through what I been through. I mean, she has, but... She doesn't (inaudible). There is no judgement there.
Glenda: Well, I thought you were drawn to me because, um, you were like (inaudible).
Michael: I was drawn to you because you were very accepting. You were accepting. (inaudible-whispering)
Glenda: What is that?
Michael: (inaudible-whispering)
Glenda: Intri...?
Michael: (inaudible-whispering)
Glenda: En... eccentric?
Michael: (inaudible- whispering a bit louder, sounds like "eccentric")
Glenda: What??
Michael: (Whispers word again)?
Glenda: I don't even know that word!
Michael: (Inaudible) Like I said. (inaudible-"money") If you have money, you're called ("eccentric" word again). If...
Glenda: (laughs)
Michael: You know, you just accepted me no matter what.
Glenda: I did! And I do! I still do.
************Audio cut off.************
Michael: The other day, after my video ['came on' or 'I came home'].... I don't know what happened. They couldn't get me out of the trailer with my own band and stuff. And I'm on tour and stuff. Travelling with my (Inaudible), stuff like that. And... (inaudible) I don't associate with them. [It's at] rehearsal, or I have to be on stage. Or back in the hotel room. I don't associate, really, with those people.
Glenda: What, any of them?
Michael: No, I don't associate with them. I [stay off to] myself.
Glenda: Why? (Inaudible- might be something about "feeling accepted")?
Michael: I don't. I feel uncomfortable- I go, "Okay, this is my band, we got Michael here, we got so-and-so."
Glenda: (Started, interrupted by Michael)
Michael: We got Sheryll, we got, you know, Jennifer. And, I just don't associate with people.
Glenda: Do you, um? Okay. Is it hard for you to (sigh) to be (inaudible)?
Michael: I just-
Glenda: If I (inaudible) looking someone in face, or having someone look at you in the face 'cause you don't listen to-
Michael: You know what, I don't want them to get close, I don't want them to (inaudible- very low speaking). (Inaudible) [scared with the whole] anorexia thing. I feel bad...
Glenda: Don't, Michael. You look really good. (Silence) You look really good.
Michael: (After a silence- very low, strained) I don't look good. (Inaudible)
Glenda: (Inaudible)

Michael: I mean, people tell me, "Oh, yeah, you're really Janet". Or "Oh, (low voice) before LaToya posed nude." Sayin' you're the same person and stuff.
Glenda: Who said that? (laughs)
Michael: Oh, god, everyone in the media!
Glenda: (Inaudible)
Michael: Toya even wrote that in Playboy. She said, "Well, at least I can put the rumor to rest that Michael and I are the same person."
Glenda: (Laughs)
Michael: And showin' her breasts and stuff like that. Then they say, "Janet and Michael are the same person."
Glenda: (chuckle) That's crazy.

So ehrlich...
Eins steht jedenfalls fest:
