ZitatAlles anzeigenI want to make something clear. I do have a very legit source in Sony. I'm sorry I cannot give his name, I'd love to at this point. But I can say he is related to me and that I've met him personally many times.
In regards to the album, one must understand that when reporting information from Sony things are changing all the time. They cannot decide what way they are coming or going. Remember, Sony has to get their orders from the estate so it's a game of communication between the two parties. So you have the both of them going back and forth with new ideas, and I report those ideas. When something comes out in the media that contradicts those ideas I share...many in here deem me to be false. That's not fair to me. I am simply sharing with you the conversations and ideas from Sony and the estate. Nothing is set in stone at this point. So let's focus on what I've reported to be right:
1. I reported over a month in advance that the new album is coming in 2010. And that an official statement from Sony and the estate was imminent. Further more, I went on to say that it is coming around August-September. That's what I was told directly. The press release was issued less than 2 weeks later confirming the new album I mentioned here so many times. They said November. Why the difference? They changed last minute to give themselves extra time incase any new material came in.
2. I reported that the album WOULD NOT be coming out in 2011 regardless of what MJDatabank reported, my source denied this date to me many times, saying if anything it would be coming out earlier.
3. I reported that the first single is aimed to come out in August, and from what I've been told over and over....will be Another Day. Yes I did report this after the Lenny interview, because I asked my source directly after I saw the Lenny youtube video if it was true. He confirmed it was.
4. With regards to LNFSG, the song has always been a battle as to whether it would make the album. It's been a back and forth. Remember, the track list has not been printed in stone, so at this point whether it makes the album or not depends on who wins the battle.
5. I reported that the majority of songs on this new album will be from 1998 to 2009. I've said this from the beginning and that's what I've been told. Will there be any songs prior to 1998? Depending on the sound they want for the album. At one point in time my source reported to me that the estate was considering using a mix of older and new er songs, and i told you guys that. Then after finding the Cascio tapes, they concluded there is enough new material to stick mostly to post 98 recordings. That's what I've been told. When your dealing with a source, you are happy they share anything. I can't be some detective and press him for every microscopic little detail as to why things change. I just accept it.
6. I reported that the album will have 10 to 12 songs. Just wait and see...
7. I reported the title of the album HAS not been concluded but a title thrown around is L.O.V.E. , maybe someone will come up with something better later on? I am just reporting what I heard.
8. I reported that Sony will create a huge marketing campaign for this album including exact detail of what they plan to do... television appearances from people who helped work the song. For example I know for a fact that Lenny Kravtiz will do interviews around the time Another Day is released. And you can take that to the bank. There will be television, magazine, and Internet ads.
9. Finally, I am told that Sony WILL be using some sort of video content with this album. I was told "there will be a visual campaign for this album which will involve a unique form of a music video, Michael will very much be alive during this album". Put that on record please.
