    One of the most unforgettable things that happened recently would have to be Michael Jackson’s death. I know Michael Jackson. He once tried to contact me on the phone but I wasn’t able to take his call. When I returned his call, he was too busy. I feel so sad and very regretful. His death has made the whole world very sad and his fans were heartbroken. There have been a lot of news reports about him lately and now that he is gone, I actually think that this might be like a kind of release for him. He won’t be disturbed by anyone anymore, he’ll have no more troubles to worry about, and people won’t criticize him for what he does. Right now, everybody is talking about all his good things and how wonderful he was. Over the past 10 years, I’ve always heard people say bad things about him, making comments about his body, his face, his skin, and many other things. Now that he’s gone, all of a sudden everybody is talking all good things about him and saying that he was an amazing superstar. This is what people are like. So maybe for him, leaving this way would be like a kind of release - like being set free. He was a gifted and talented man, and was very creative. He composed many wonderful songs, sang many songs about peace and harmony, and also did a lot of charity work. I believe that he will go to heaven because he’s done so many good things. I also think that his happiest time should be now because no one is going to say bad things about him anymore. Even if people do talk about him, he wouldn’t be able to hear it. He’s free.

Auf der Couch in Nürnberg, in Jogginghose und mit Kugelbauch, da gibt er zu: „Ja, es stimmt wohl, ich bin ein musikalisches Genie.“

    AR Rahman's 'special album' for Michael Jackson

    In a matter of few months, AR Rahman has lost two people he looked up to - sound engineer H Sridhar and Michael Jackson. Sound engineer H Sridhar passed away in December due to cardiac arrest and the cause of MJ’s death is still a mystery.


    Consequently, AR Rahman has decided to put together a special album as a mark of respect to MJ. Of late, AR Rahman has been making several trips to the US because his secret dream project is ready to take off. Artistes from all across the globe will contribute to this album. It is believed that the album will have a few recreated songs of MJ, along with Rahman’s original compositions.


    The King of Pop’s untimely and mysterious death unsettled Rahman. A source said, “The two deaths one after the other made Rahman realise the uncertainty of life. These tragedies have made him more spiritual.”


    Rahman had earlier said, “Artistes and their art lives for ever. My late sound engineer Sridhar had brought me a video of the premiere of Michael’s Remember the Time when I was recording the track Kadal Rojave for my first movie Roja . That afternoon, that video inspired all of us. Now, there is no Sridhar and no Jackson anymore.”


    AR Rahman was looking forward to working with MJ whom he had met during the Oscar Awards in Los Angeles earlier this year. Talking about his meeting with the pop star, AR Rahman had said, “MJ was concerned about contemporary developmental issues such as global warming, wars and their consequences. He asked me to compose a unity anthem on the lines of We are the World for him. I nodded in awe.”


    When asked about the album, Rahman, who is going LA this week, said cautiously, “It’s too early to talk about it. Talking about it right now may jeopardise things.”

    Auf Initiative von Shahrukh Khan (Bollywood) und seinem Creative Team bei Red Chillies wird derzeit ein Video zu Ehren von Michael Jackson aufgenommen. Die Musik dazu haben Vishal-Shekhar geschrieben, die Texte stammen von Vishal. Die Regie für das Video hat Samar Khan übernommen, die Choreografie macht Remo.


    Der Michael Jackson Memorial Song heißt 'We Lived In His World', der an MJ's Geburtstag am 29. August veröffentlicht wird.


    Es singen u.a. Kay Kay, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Goshal. Viele Stars sind an dem Video beteiligt und werden darin kurze Sätze sprechen: Neben Shahrukh sind das Hrithik Roshan, Prabhu Deva, Shahid Kapoor, Harman Baweja, Yuvraj Singh, Katrina Kaif, Kangna Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra und noch viele andere. Alle Beteiligten nehmen keine Gage.

    Sean Kingston trauert um Michael Jackson


    Sean Kingston war erschüttert, als er von Michael Jacksons Tod erfuhr.


    Der Sänger ('Beautiful Girls') war total geschockt, als er im Juni hörte, dass der King of Pop verstorben war. Schließlich habe er einen großen Einfluss auf seine Musik gehabt.


    Der 19-jährige Reggae-Star, der sein neues Album 'Tomorrow' im kommenden Monat rausbringt, verriet der Londoner Agentur 'BANG Showbiz': "Ich wünschte, ich hätte Michael Jackson einmal persönlich getroffen! Er war ein Pionier, eine Legende. Er hat den Weg für mich geebnet, er und Bob Marley. Ich war gerade in New York und gab Interviews, als er verstarb. Ich bekam einen Anruf und konnte es nicht fassen. Ich war nicht einmal in der Lage, es zu begreifen. Ich habe gefragt, was passiert war und alle fingen an, mir die Geschehnisse zu erzählen. Ich bin vom Stuhl aufgesprungen und habe sofort alle angerufen. Er sollte nicht Tod sein. Er war mitten in den Proben für seine Tour. Es ist so ein schrecklicher, schrecklicher Verlust. Ich muss ständig daran denken. Der Typ hatte Soul, er hatte es drauf und deshalb muss ich mein Bestmögliches geben und mit meiner Musik weitermachen und versuchen, Michael Jackson stolz zu machen. Ich hatte eine 'Thriller'-Jacke, die Handschuhe und ich habe den Moonwalk gelernt."


    Trotz seiner Trauer will Kingston keinen besonderen Tribut-Song in Gedenken an den Sänger aufnehmen, berichtet er: "Momentan habe ich einen Teil in meinen Life-Shows, in dem ich ihn Tribut zolle. Aber ich glaube nicht, dass ich einen Song schreibe. Sowas würde ich nicht versauen wollen. Das würde ich nicht riskieren wollen."

    Ne-Yo: neue Filmrolle


    Amerikanischen Medienberichten zufolge wird der 26-Jährige in dem neuen Science-Fiction-Streifen "Battle: Los Angeles" einen Soldaten spielen. Darin soll es um die Bekämpfung einer Horde Aliens gehen. Mit ihm vor der Kamera stehen werden zudem Aaron Eckhardt, Michelle Rodriguez und Bridget Moynahan. Ne-Yo glaubt übrigens, dass er Michael Jackson seine Karriere zu verdanken hat: "Er ist zur Hälfte dafür verantwortlich, dass ich singe, und ganz dafür verantwortlich, dass ich tue, was ich tue. Und er wird vermisst, er wird schmerzlich vermisst."

    Udo Jürgens bewundert Michael Jackson


    Udo Jürgens hat den im Juni verstorbenen Superstar Michael Jackson verehrt. „Sein Talent und seine Körpersprache waren so außergewöhnlich, dass mir das Drumherum völlig Wurst war“, sagte Jürgens der Zeitschrift „TV Spielfilm“ zufolge. Insbesondere ein Konzert Jacksons in Bukarest sei ihm in Erinnerung geblieben: „Das war das beste Popkonzert aller Zeiten. Wer da nicht geheult hat, nachts im Bett allein, ist ein Eisklotz“, zitierte ihn die Zeitschrift. „Es gab Momente in diesem Konzert, da haben wir gemerkt - wir hatten es mit einem Genie zu tun“, erinnert sich der Entertainer. Jürgens empfand demnach besonderes Mitleid mit dem King of Pop, als „die Medien dazu übergegangen sind, aus ihm ein Dreckschwein zu machen.     Dear Friends - Sometimes we go through life feeling invincible. Sometimes God sends us very clear messages that we are not. I am shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Michael Jackson last week. His controversial lifestyle made headlines but it was Michael’s amazing talent and passionate humanitarian efforts that touched the hearts and lives of so many all over the world.
    I loved Michael’s music. My own son, Beau, knew all of The Jackson 5’s early songs and he sang them for years before his own voice changed. It was wonderful to hear those great songs sung by the person I love most in this world. I send my love, sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Jackson family at this incredibly sad time. I’ll be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
