  • Rebbie Jackson Says Family Helping To Keep Life For Michael’s Kids ‘Stable’

    LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Rebbie Jackson, the eldest sister of the late Michael Jackson, has revealed that the King of Pop’s children were crushed by the loss of their dad in June of 2009, but with the help of their family, they are getting better.

During an appearance on “Today,” Rebbie, who moved in with Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson to help take care of the children for the first three months following Michael’s death at the age of 50, opened up about Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8.

“It was very difficult. It was very hard,” Rebbie said. “But yet, day by day you could see the progress of family members getting better and dealing with the situation better and feeling more serene about it.”

Rebbie, who now commutes from Las Vegas to visit the children in Los Angeles when she can, said the children are being supported by their relatives

“They’re with family members,” Rebbie said. “They’re insulated, you might say, and surrounded with a lot of cousins. I think it’s helping them to be stable, but it’s very difficult.”

Beyond the children, Rebbie spoke about the case authorities in Los Angeles are building against Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s personal physician, who was charged earlier this year with involuntary manslaughter.

“There’s an ongoing investigation, so I have to be very careful about what I say. But I think there’s going to be some interesting results for everyone,” she said of the case.

Rebbie also hinted that Dr. Murray might not be the only one charged in the matter.

“I think it’s a lot more than that possibly. We’ll find out. I can’t say too much, but it’s interesting what’s going on,” she said.

Music maestro AR Rahman is all geared up for his world tour ‘AR Rahman Jai Ho concert’. It kicks off on June 11 in New York at the famous Nassau Coliseum arena.

When Rahman was amidst rehearsals at Washington DC, he received some very special visitors - they were Michael Jackson’s elder brother Jermaine and his son, Prince Michael Jackson.
A source reveals, “Rahman was practicing for his upcoming concert at Patriot Centre and by a coincidence, Jermaine and Prince were rehearsing in an adjoining hall at the same venue. As soon as they learnt about Rahman’s presence, they decided to pay him a visit. The late pop star’s son Prince told Rahman that he loved Jai Ho. Rahman immediately extended a personal invitation to the Jackson family to attend his concert.”

Rahman, a self–confessed fan of Michael Jackson, had issued a very emotional statement following the pop legend’s untimely demise. Michael’s family, by extension, holds an equally special place in Rahman’s heart.

Elaborating on the special bond between Rahman and Michael, our source adds, “Not many people know that when Rahman won the Oscar, Michael Jackson had personally called to congratulate him and invite him for lunch where he introduced Rahman to his family and three children. The King of Pop liked the Jai Ho track so much that he had expressed a desire to work with Rahman. He had specifically liked the chord arrangement of the Oscar-winning song. Subsequently, Rahman made several trips to Los Angeles, but destiny had other plans.”

Rahman, who is currently in LA, confirms, “Yes I had a chance meeting with Jermaine Jackson in Washington DC during the time I was rehearsing there. We exchanged pleasantries.”

    Shweta keeping her fingers crossed!

Rehearsing every day for at least nine hours at a stretch to ensure you give a flawless performance is not easy. But if you have music maestro AR Rahman for company, it is worth every second of it. That’s what singer Shweta Pandit, who will be performing at AR Rahman’s much-awaited Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour, feels. She spoke to TOi about meeting Jermaine Jackson, the songs she’ll sing with AR, and more...

    ‘Jermaine performed for me!’
Shweta, who’s been rehearsing for the last 12 days at the Centre Stage in Los Angeles, USA, was quite thrilled when she got to meet Jermaine Jackson. “This is such an amazing place. Several celebrities come here for their practice sessions. We had Jackson (Jermaine) rehearsing adjacent to our hall. The Pussycat Dolls and Miley Cyrus were also here. It’s amazing how much they all love Indian music. While discussing that, I told Jermaine that in Bollywood flicks, the actors lip sync songs and that there isn’t a separate soundtrack. In fact, Jermaine was quite amazed after he heard some Indian music. He said, ‘We haven’t listened to these beats,’” she recounts.

A self-admitted MJ fan, Shweta couldn’t hold back her tears when Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine performed for her. “It was very sweet of him to perform for me despite the fact that he was busy with his private practice session. That’s the time during which people aren’t permitted to enter the rehearsal room. But Jermaine asked me if I wanted to attend his performance. And I readily agreed. I actually saw him perform Man In The Mirror. He did that especially for me and I just couldn’t stop crying. I missed MJ a lot while Jermaine performed. It was a beautiful moment and inexplicable too. Even though MJ was missing, his music proved that it has the power to bind people. Music really has no boundaries.”

Jermaine: perform deine eigenen songs, verdammt nochmal!!! :grr

He's not an artist, he's a fucking work of art...

    I love you more, Mike!

  • Vater hat Angst um Nachlaß

    Michael Jackson

:heulsuse

  • Katherine Jackson's Lawyer Goes After Joe Jackson

Joe Jackson's cruel attack -- that his wife, Katherine, is responsible for Michael's death, is but the latest in a rich history of reckless, untrue comments ... so says Katherine's lawyer and the lawyer for Michael Jackson's estate.

Katherine is not commenting on what amounts to her husband's declaration of war -- that she refused to "keep [Michael] cheered up" because she didn't want to invade his privacy, and he'd be alive today if she had.

Katherine's lawyer, Adam Streisand, tells TMZ, "The world knows that Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving mother and grandmother, and that she and Michael had a very special relationship." Streisand then drives it home: "The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget."

Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Michael Jackson estate, tells TMZ, "The inference by Joe Jackson that Mrs. Jackson was in any way responsible for Michael's death is preposterous. Katherine Jackson was a supportive and loving mother throughout Michael's life. His love and respect for her is reflected in his estate plan."

Now here's how Joe may have screwed himself. He's not included in Michael's will and no matter how hard he tries to invalidate the will, he's going to end up with nothing in that department. The chances of Joe getting a court-approved allowance from the estate are slim to none. And Joe is trying to exploit Michael's name to make money, but his unauthorized attempts have pretty much been shut down by the estate. Ouch ... and true.

So the only thing Joe has been able to rely on ... Katherine's generosity in the money department. Looks like that gravy train may have finally left the station.
