It's the eve of the first day of the Michael Jackson Death Trial and Los Angeles is buzzing with anticipation!
This morning, I spoke with one of the few people who was with Michael Jackson in the days leading up to his death – Dorian Holley, the vocal director for the “This Is It” tour.

Dorian shared what it was like to rehearse with the King of Pop at the Staples Center and even told me what he thought of Dr. Conrad Murray himself:
“He should have been the guy to step in and help Michael when something went wrong… If it’s up to me, Conrad Murray’s going to jail for a long time,” Dorian said (*video auf der site).
Dorian also told us what it was like inside Michael Jackson’s inner circle – and what he thinks about some of the conspiracy theories surrounding Michael Jackson’s death.

Conspiracy theories – That’s a topic we have been focusing on since I’ve been out in Los Angeles. The Michael Jackson fan network is really strong here in the City of Angels and we have had some of
Jackson’s most dedicated fans tell us their own ideas of what happened on June 25, 2009.
We’ve heard everything from “I know he’s alive” to a grand plan that Dr. Murray was a hired gun. Regardless of where they believe he is now, Jackson’s fans continue to mourn his absence and they
will be out in full force to make sure that everyone remembers what is at stake in this trial.
Today, we're going through the profiles of what I’m calling “The Chosen Few” – the 12 jurors and 5 alternates (Dr. Conrad Murray’s peers) – who will hear this case and decide his fate.
The juror questionnaire had a strong focus on a potential juror’s ties to Jackson: Were you a fan? Did you buy his albums? Have you ever interacted with the Jackson family?
It’s hard to find people in Los Angeles county who haven’t had some kind of connection to the Jackson family empire in some capacity.
The questionnaire also asked the pool if they followed the Casey Anthony trial, which I think is a fascinating question. They want to know if these potential jurors are justice junkies.
But if they are, which way would they vote?
Now that we have the final list, we know we have several fans filling those twelve chairs and we’ve got a few who were not. On the jury we have the husband of a registered nurse, a mailman,
a paralegal, someone who was injured in a drive-by shooting in 1993 and a few of the jury members have family with drug and alcohol additions – an issue that I think will be a feature of this trial! All of this is sure to make for an intriguing first day and it starts tomorrow morning. Be sure to join us!

(27-9-2011) As reported earlier, the scene outside the courthouse today was a mad mix of Michael Jackson fans and supporters of Dr. Conrad Murray.
But the specticle didn't stop there. Both groups have taken to the skies to show their support.
One sign read, "God bless Dr. Murray - he is innocent!" while the second sign sported a picture of Michael Jackson and read, "USA & the world demands justice!"

[h=1]Michael Jackson’s Family Attends Conrad Murray Trial[/h]

At the manslaughter trial of Conrad Murray, the personal physician accused of killing Michael Jackson in June 2009, the second row in the spectators gallery
is reserved for the pop singer’s family.

Present for all of the first two days of testimony have been Jackson’s mother, Katherine, along with his sisters Janet, La Toya and Rebbie. His father, Joe,
and brothers Jermaine and Randy, have been on hand for most, but not all of the testimony. Tito, Marlon and Jackie have not appeared in court so far.
Mrs. Jackson, who is 81 years old, could be heard harrumphing incredulously during defense lawyer Ed Chernoff’s opening statement as he depicted his client,
Conrad Murray, as a humanitarian who treated indigent patients free of charge.

One or the other of the Jackson sisters can frequently be heard repeating key lines of witness testimony to their mother. When a prosecutor played a recording
of Jackson speaking in heavily slurred words, apparently under the influence of the surgical anesthetic propofol, La Toya and Randy took turns holding Mrs. Jackson’s
hands as she wept and wiped tears from her eyes.

At the close of testimony by the first witness, Kenny Ortega, the director of the London concert series Jackson was planning at the time of his death, Randy,
flashed him a “V” for victory sign. Ortega nodded in acknowledgement.

Not all witnesses have gotten such warm receptions. As an executive from concert promoter AEG Live testified during the afternoon of the first day, 82-year-old
Joe Jackson closed his eyes and appeared to doze briefly. The Jackson patriarch has been wearing a gold medallion in the shape of the African continent.
The Jackson family has kept mostly to itself, bustling into the courtroom amid a phalanx of bodyguards and sheriff’s deputies. They’ve typically breezed past reporters
without speaking, though they’ve stopped to acknowledge the Jackson fans who line the hallway outside the courtroom. Before the trial began on Tuesday morning
La Toya Jackson accepted a sunflower from a fan outside the courtroom.

The trial is taking place in department 107, located on the ninth floor of the Foltz courthouse. That floor is generally used for trials requiring high security measures.
The floor has its own security checkpoint, including a metal detector, in addition to those located in the building’s lobby.
Joe and Jermaine spent Wednesday afternoon on another floor of the court house, according to one of the family’s bodyguards. It was not clear why they didn’t come
to the court room. The two men also missed the late-morning portion of Tuesday’s proceedings.

The first day, Tuesday, the Jackson family arrived and departed via a side entrance, out of the public’s view. On Wednesday, La Toya made a higher-profile entrance,
via the front door of the Clara Foltz Criminal Courts Building in downtown Los Angeles. She was thronged by fans and television cameras.
It was not clear where or when the other family members arrived.

Conrad Murray Is Guilty

Tom Mesereau -- the lawyer who successfully defended Michael Jackson in the singer's 2005 molestation trial -- claims Dr. Conrad Murray "violated every ethical obligation he had as a doctor" when he gave MJ Propofol ... and deserves to go to prison.

Mesereau wants to make it clear, "I am on the side of the prosecution."

Between the paramedics' testimony, Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor threatened Murray's lawyers with a contempt charge over an interview the law partner of lead defense counsel Ed Chernoff did Friday with "The Today Show." In the interview, attorney Matt Alford criticized a key prosecution witness, Jackson's bodyguard Alberto Alvarez.

Alvarez testified Thursday that Murray ordered him to place vials of medication in a bag before calling 911. Defense attorneys have repeatedly challenged his account.

Prosecutors complained and Pastor watched the interview during a break. He told attorneys he was shocked and had watched the interview "with my mouth open." The interview was done hours after the judge warned attorneys not to comment about the case outside court.

He ordered Alford to appear for a contempt hearing on Nov. 15 and described him as a witness after Chernoff told Pastor to hold him in contempt instead of his partner.

All the discussions about the interview were held outside the presence of jurors, who are under strict orders to avoid media coverage about the case.
