Zitat

..aus diesem langen Vibe-Artikel: Michael Jackson VS Prince: An oral history.. der insgesamt sehr lesenswert is..
http://www.vibe.com/article/mi…on-vs-prince-oral-history
QUESTLOVE: You recall that ill-fated duet Eddie Murphy did with Michael called “Whatzupwitu?” I have five hours of raw footage during filming for that video. Michael and Eddie had a green screen behind them, so somewhere in that second hour, the conversation turns to Prince. And Eddie is like, “Yeah man…Prince is a bad mother****er. I’m glad I’m working with you, but another dream I have is working with him too.” And I don’t even think that Mike knew the camera was on him and he goes, “Yes, he’s a natural genius.” And then four beats later, Michael says, “But I can beat him [laughs].”
..sehen will!

Michael Jackson's "Thriller" re-enters the chart at #42, due to its annual digital and radio resurgence linked to Halloween. The song sold 35K digital copies this past week, bringing its grand total to 3,472,000. (No other Halloween perennials made this week's Hot 100. "Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & the Crypt-Kickers was the week's #2 Halloween-themed seller, with 28K in sales.)

http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100This is the first time that a MJ song has re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 since they changed the charting rules in 2012. Before that older singles weren’t able to chart.
ETA: It’s also #20 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.

Michael Jackson's Touring Life After Death: The Billboard Cover StoryArticles /News |Pop-Shop |Live By Mitchell Peters, Los Angeles | November 08, 2013 2:00 PM EST
The inside story of why MJ's touring business is now bigger than ever
This is an excerpt. For the complete story, buy this week's issue of Billboard. In the fall of 1987, not long after the release of his blockbuster album Bad, Michael Jackson and his longtime lawyer/adviser John Branca piled into a van to see the Los Angeles debut of Cirque du Soleil at the Santa Monica Pier.
They took a van, with Branca driving, despite the fact that Jackson had gifted Branca with a Rolls-Royce, and their journey was briefly stalled after Branca headed in the wrong direction on the congested Interstate 405. But the pair eventually made it to the show. Cirque du Soleil was 3 years old at the time, and true to its inspiration in the circus, was housed in a tent on this visit to Los Angeles. Jackson could hardly contain his excitement to watch the Quebec troupe perform, Branca recalls.
"After the show, Michael said to me, 'Branca, we have to go backstage and meet the cast,'" he says. "I couldn't tell who was more excited, the cast to meet Michael or Michael to meet the cast. That's how enthusiastic he was."
