Michael Jackson patented an anti-gravity shoe in 1993!
Sydney, Jan 9 (ANI): If you wanted to know the secret behind Michael Jackson's gravity defying dance moves, log on to Google Patents, which lists bizarre gadgets and accessories designed by stars including Michael Jackson, Marlon Brando and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Jackson and two of his tailors were issued a patent in 1993 for a "method and means for creating anti-gravity illusion" with a special pair of shoes that would attach to a movable device on the stage.
Drawings show a figure wearing the shoes leaning forward at an angle of about 45 degrees.
Late Hollywood legend Brando got patent number 6,441,286 in 2002 for a device that helps tighten the head of a bongo drum.
And Curtis invented a nappy that comes with a moisture-proof pocket containing a handy sanitary wipe.
M*A*S*H actor Gary Burghoff, who played Radar in the cult TV series, came up with an "enhanced fish attractor device", while author Mark Twain secured a patent for an "improvement in scrap books".
Google's new patent search feature, launched last month, allows users to hunt through seven million US patents dating from 1790 to mid-1996. (ANI)
