    keine ahnung....nachdem man alle möglichen aktionen versucht hat, und die tix dann eher am verramschen war/ist, kanns schon sein.
    gibt ja leute, die auf alle konzerte rennen, wenn irgendein (b)-star auftritt,
    ohne sich wie in diesem falle für den hintergrund zu interessieren.

    Michael Jackson Tribute Concert Broadcast Cancelled on Facebook





    The Facebook broadcast of the Michael Jackson tribute concert has been cancelled due to rights issues,
    technology partner Milyoni will announce Friday morning.


    Milyoni originally teamed with Ridgeline Entertainment to broadcast the show online via Facebook. After a PCMag reader noticed that the link to the show now generates a "page not found" error,
    however, he contacted PCMag. When asked, the Milyoni representative said that music labels had brought "legal challenges" to prevent the show from being streamed.


    The live broadcast from Cardiff, Wales, scheduled for a 10 AM PT start on Oct. 8, was scheduled to cost $3.99 via PayPal or $4.99 the day of the show. Users could also purchase access to the show
    using Facebook Credits, either 40 Credits in advance or 50 the day of the concert.


    That money will now be refunded, Milyoni president John Corpus said in a statement.


    "Due to legal challenges brought by the music labels that own the rights to Michael Jackson's lyrics, concert promoter Global Live Events has notified us that the live Facebook broadcast
    of the Michael Forever tribute concert has been cancelled," Corpus said. "As the technology provider behind the live Facebook broadcast, Milyoni will fully refund all customers who pre-purchased
    access to the concert using Facebook Credits or PayPal.


    "While social media presents a new opportunity for artists and concert promoters to reach global audiences, it is still a new and disruptive frontier ripe with challenges," Corpus added.
    "Milyoni will continue to work closely with our music and entertainment partners to pursue this new channel of distribution, beneficial to both artists and fans worldwide."


    Mother Katherine Jackson announced the "Michael Forever The Tribute Concert" with Marlon, Tito, Jackie and La Toya Jackson earlier this year.


    The reported lineup includes Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson, plus Cee Lo Green, Leona Lewis,
    Craig David, and 3T, otherwise known as Tito Jackson's three sons.

    ^ Ich bin ganz froh, dass es wohl doch nicht stattfindet. War mir auch irgendwie klar von vornherein. Die Jacksons hätten sich so dermaßen blamiert, dass alles aus gewesen wäre. Und es wäre nicht Michael zugute gekommen - zumindest nicht im positiven Sinne. Die können's einfach nicht, die Jacksons...

    Michael Jackson's Family Plan Annual Tribute Show


    Michael Jackson's family want to hold an annual tribute concert to the late star following this weekend's Michael Forever show in Wales.



    A tribute to the late 'Beat It' star, Michael Forever, will be held at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday (08.10.11) - with starts including Christina Aguliera, Cee Lo Green and Smokey Robinson among others performing - and his brother Tito wants to make it an annual event.


    He told Welsh newspaper The Western Mail: "Hopefully we can do this every year to remember his legacy, that's something that we enjoy doing."


    Tito and other members of Michael's family band, The Jackson 5, are set to perform during the course of the evening, and he the late star's children, Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, nine may even make an appearance onstage, although they will not perform or sing.


    Tito added: "The children are so glad to be [in England], they're going to have a great time. They might be on the stage.


    "Come the finale they might be on the stage, you never know. It's a spontaneous reaction, whatever happens, happens."


    Tito also talked about how he feels Michael would want his legacy to be remembered.


    He added: "People ask, 'What do you think Michael represented when he was here on earth?' and my first answer is not music but his heart, what he did for people, how he tried to change the world and make the world a better place."

    ähm...
    das WISSEN wir, dass die kids dort sein werden, und dass sie möglicherweise auch auf die bühne gehn werden.
    in jedem falle sind sie samt kitkat da um zu repräsentieren.

    Klar wurde das Ding leider nicht ganz abgesagt, aber ich bin schon froh, dass die Peinlichkeit so weniger Leute mitkriegen und weniger Knete wird so wohl auch fließen (ach ich vergaß - wird ja alles gespendet ;)).
