    As Michael Jackson watched the destruction of New Orleans from a palace in Bahrain, he saw an opportunity to help others and has since been trying to organise an all-star charity single that just may end up helping his flagging career as well.


    Jackson, who has kept a low profile since his acquittal on child molestation charges four months ago, said through his publicist that his planned record to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina would include vocal contributions from Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, James Brown, Lenny Kravitz, R. Kelly and others. Jackson will record the song on the record label, 2 Seas Records.


    The track's working title is From the Bottom of Our Heart. The undertaking is in the mould of We Are the World, the 1984 tune that Jackson co-wrote to help famine victims in Africa.


    Not only did that No. 1 single help raise $50 million (Dh183.5 million) for famine relief, it added to Jackson's career lustre at a time when he towered over pop music.

    Los Angeles - Popstar Michael Jackson hat nach Angaben seiner Sprecherin acht Spitzenmusiker gebeten, mit ihm ein Benefizlied für die Opfer des Hurrikans »Katrina« aufzunehmen. Raymone Bain teilte mit, an dem vorläufig »From the Bottom of My Heart« genannten Song sollten Stars wie James Brown, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Lenny Kravitz, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg und Ciara mitwirken.


    Nach ihren Angaben rief Jackson seine Kollegen persönlich von Bahrain aus an, wo er sich seit mehreren Wochen als Gast des Königssohns Scheich Abdulla bin Hamad al Chalifa aufhält. Um das bestätigen zu lassen, reichte sie bei dem Telefoninterview den Hörer an Scheich Abdulla weiter, der bekräftigte: »Er hat jeden Anruf persönlich getätigt.«
    Der Song soll an Jacksons Benefiz-Hit »We Are the World« anknüpfen, der 1984 gegen den Hunger in Afrika herauskam und ein weltweiter Erfolg wurde. Nach den Anschlägen vom 11. September wollte Jackson ein ähnliches Projekt machen, das aber nie umgesetzt wurde. Auch diesmal könnte es Schwierigkeiten geben: Eine Sprecherin des Rappers Jay-Z, Jana Fleischman, bestätigte zwar die Anfrage. Jay-Z habe ihr aber gesagt, dass er noch nicht endgültig entschieden habe, an Jacksons Lied mitzuwirken.


    Bain sagte, das Lied für die »Katrina«-Opfer sei noch in der Planung; Ort und Zeit seiner Aufnahme stünden noch nicht fest.(AP)

    Also Aufmerksamkeit bekommt das Teil im Momnet auch so [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/grins.gif' border='0' style="vertical-align:text-bottom" alt=':D' />
    Und dann is Mike niegends unter Vertrag würd ich sagen . Auserdem muss man als Künstler auch das Gefühl von Sicherheit haben das das Label hinter einenm steht sonst kann man ja net in Ruhe Arbeiten . Mike wird schon was finden wo er sich wohlfühlt oder genug Geld bekommt wie auch immer . Eins nach dem Anderen .
