  • David Gest - David Gest Promises Unique Jackson Show

David Gest Promises Unique Jackson Show

David Gest has vowed to show the ''real'' Michael Jackson in his forthcoming four-hour documentary about his close pal.

David Gest has pledged to show Michael Jackson in a "truly unique light" in his new documentary.

The producer has interviewed the late 'Thriller' star's friends and family for the forthcoming four-hour documentary which includes intimate glimpses into his life, including a tour of his childhood home with brother Tito Jackson, while his mother Katherine shares her memories of her son - who died of acute Propofol intoxication last June - for the first time.

David said: "I have tried to show Michael in a truly unique light. I have spent the past three months travelling the world interviewing people who were most important in his life. I believe this popumentary will entertain and educate in equal measures about who the real Michael Jackson was. I hope this will serve as a lasting testament to the compassion and love that he had for all mankind. He was a very complex individual and this special reveals the many different facets of his personality."

In addition, the film - which will be distributed worldwide - will also include interviews with Smokey Robinson, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Michael's assistant Frank Cascio, and co-writer Siedah Garrett among others, chronicling the iconic singer's obsession with his appearance, marriages to Debbie Rowe and Lisa Marie Presley and battle with prescription drugs.

Also included in the show is a rare never-before-seen interview between Michael and David at the 'Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, The Solo Years' which revealed the 'Billie Jean' star's real deep voice as he plays jokes on his pal.

Tito said: "David had one of those rare friendships with Michael where Michael could always be himself. As teenagers and into their twenties they were inseparable and were always getting into trouble and playing jokes on everyone. David was the other brother by another mother to Michael and I! He was never afraid to stand up to Michael and tell him the truth, whether he wanted to hear it or not."

It's all over Randy's tweet, in which he said he was going to do his best to get MJ's fans "beyond the gates of Forest Lawn" to pay their respects on June 25 -- the 1-year anniversary of the singer's death.

It sounds like Randy is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, because normally non-family members can't access the mausoleum where MJ and a few other celebs are buried -- one of them being Clark Gable.

The legendary actor's grandson, Clark Gable III, told TMZ he's not down with Randy's plan ... saying the mausoleum "wouldn't be as sacred" if just anyone could go inside.

On the flip side, Randy has at least one supporter ... author Ronald J. Fields -- grandson of W.C. Fields, who's also buried there -- says he thinks fans should be allowed inside because it would be "moving to them."

Randy did not respond to our calls for comment.

  • MICHAEL JACKSON: Fans als Grabräuber?

    Michael Jackson, Musik - Mittwoch, Mai 19, 2010 - 12:01

    Michael Jackson (Quelle: Tom Rider/FIRSTNEWS)

  • Holly Terrace Sunflowers

    by Betty Byrnes

The beautiful little girl with pigtails jumped from her mother’s arms with glee and ran to the door of Holly Terrace, eagerly peering through the crack. Just at the end of the long corridor, if you looked just right, you could see a noble, marble crypt. The sun was hitting the Ascension stained glass window and the entire scene was filled with glorious light. Many, many more bright and glowing sunflowers adorned this kings resting place. A beautiful breath taking sight and outside was a veritable forest of sunflowers lined up by the doors to the Kings resting place.

Suddenly she turned to look at her mother with a shocked and stricken look on her face shrieked, “I can’t see him! I can’t see him! He isn’t there, Mommy!! I want to see him!!
Why can’t I see him? Where did he go mommy?” She began to sob, uncontrollable, inconsolable, heartbroken sobs. She ran back to her mother’s comforting and safe arms
and held on tight and just cried.

The adults all stood there unable to breath, unable to speak, grappling for the words to try to console and explain… yet there were none. Yes this little angelic baby she said it all.
We can’t see him, our King, we can’t see him. Why did he have to go?
    Our hearts are broken still.

Suddenly a grown up notices and points to a discovery, back inside the sunflower forest just resting at the base of the sunflowers is a tiny angel someone has left for Michael, our King.
It rests and sleeps guarding the King’s door. The child is consoled at last and content to wander in the sunflower forest but continually, apprehensively looking toward the door
where her King can not be seen.

How do you explain death to a child? Her mother says “She doesn’t understand. She LOVES Michael Jackson and she sees him sing and dance on TV. She can’t understand why she can’t see him now.” We the adults grasp at answers as well and can only nod our heads.
Yes how do you explain the death of Michael Jackson?
    Unfathomable.
    Forever in our hearts.

How strange that all these tears could not wash away the hurt!

Then one thought of love pierced my bitterness.
I remembered you in the sunlight, with a smile as sweet as May wine.
A tear of gratitude started to fall, and miraculously, you were back.
Soft fingers touched my check, and you bent over for a kiss.

“Why have you come?” I whispered.

“To wipe away your last tear,” you replied.
“It was the one you saved for me.”
