    Jacko: Las Vegas Mega Show?
    Mittwoch, 27.12.2006

    December 25, 2006

Merry Christmas, Las Vegas! It looks like you're getting the King of Pop under your tree this year.

Michael Jackson has decided to end his self-imposed exile in Ireland and Bahrain, and make his big "comeback" in that city of broken dreams, Las Vegas. Us Weekly reports that the singer has already moved into a mansion in Vegas and that he's working on a deal to do a live show on the Strip, joining Celine Dion, Prince and others.

Jack Wishna, described as "gaming dealmaker," is the force behind Jackson's triumphant return to U.S. shores, and he tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Jackson "is poised to return to the top" of showbiz. Just after Jackson was acquitted in June 2005, the TV show "Celebrity Justice" reported that Jackson had struck a deal with Steve Wynn to perform in Vegas. Peeps for Wynn and Jackson then told "CJ" that the story wasn't true. It just remains to be seen, doesn't it?

    mal schauen. bin sehr gespannt

  • "Just some news...
My best friend's nieces (they are 10 and 12 years old) are in Las Vegas right now...they were at that place (by chance) in the video. Michael went close to them, gave them a hug and a kiss on the cheek also."

  • NORM: Jackson prepares to settle down

Michael Jackson and his three children flew here Saturday.

Paparazzi had staked out a mansion near The Orleans on Wednesday, a sure sign that Michael Jackson's hideaway is no longer secret.

An Internet report hinted that the pop icon was heading for the $60 million, 100,000-square-foot mansion built by Jackson pal Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei at Spanish Trail. But activity at the other location, which we won't divulge for security reasons, suggested that Jackson had other plans.

Jackson, his three children and support personnel arrived in Las Vegas on Saturday night after a flight from Dublin, Ireland.

Jackson, 48, plans to relaunch his career in Las Vegas, according to friend and deal maker Jack Wishna.

When Jackson in 2005 was exonerated of molestation charges in California, there were reports he was lining up a deal at the Wynn resort. But Wynn reps suggested otherwise at the time.

A British entertainment Web site (http://www.poprevenge.com) is reporting that Jackson and illusionist David Blaine are teaming up on a magic and music spectacular in Las Vegas.

It was reported here four years ago that Jackson, months before his molestation charges arose, was close to signing a deal with a Las Vegas property for a magic and music show.

Fox News' Roger Friedman reported on Monday that it was unlikely Jackson was in Las Vegas "as reported over the weekend."

That despite numerous sightings of Jackson shopping on Christmas Eve at the Forum Shops at Caesars.

Jackson "is terrified of returning to the U.S. and doesn't actually want to work," Friedman wrote in his Monday column.

Friedman added, "Should Jackson return to the U.S., he would be inundated with process servers in a number of civil matters. Chief among them: a $48 million lawsuit that's proceeding through the New York courts. Several former attorneys are also suing him for nonpayment of fees. And a return to America would make him vulnerable in his ongoing, and as yet unsettled, custody case with ex-wife Debbie Rowe."

Friedman pulled a 180-degree U-turn on Tuesday, however, and acknowledged that Jackson is in Las Vegas.

  • Jackson in Vegas?
    FROM WIRE REPORTS

In the greatest Christmas gift a nation could ask for, Michael Jackson has reportedly bid adieu to his latest nomadic camps in Ireland and Bahrain, to say "hello there!" to Las Vegas.
Us Weekly says Michael, 48, who hasn't made a new record in, like, 48 years, is already ensconced at a sweet Sin City home and is negotiating to do his very own Vegas Strip show, thereby finally and gracefully saying "good night" to his youth, his creative years, his life.
This Vegas entertainer guy Jeff Beacher confirms to Us that M.J.'s in town. "He wants to make his comeback here," the dude says. "Jackson wants this to be his new Neverland." (As if Las Vegas ever was a real land for real people.)
