Never before seen Michael Jackson video unearthed ahead of album release

Last updated at 2:29 AM on 17th November 2010

Back in 2003, Michael Jackson was filming a video for his song One More Chance, but it never saw the light of day, until now.
After the King of Pop was accused of child molestation and his Neverland Ranch was raided in 2003, the video was forgotten in the ensuing media circus.
Now, seven years later, the video for One More Chance has been released online and shows a confident Jackson dancing on tables in an empty restaurant as a crowd of eager fans watch from afar.

One More Chance: Michael Jackson's video from the song has finally been released

The video will be included in a Michael Jackson box set of all his short videos entitled 'Vision' due to be released at the end of November.
In addition to the new video, the first official single from a posthumous Jackson album was released yesterday.

'Hold My Hand,' is a duet Jackson first recorded with Senegalese rapper and record producer Akon in 2007. The unfinished song was leaked in 2008, but now the track has been completed.

Table dancing: Michael shows off his signature moves in the video for One More Chance

Jackson's Sony/Epic record label announced the release of the song last week.

'The world was not ready to hear Hold My Hand when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it,' said Akon, who was working with Jackson before his sudden death in June 2009 at the age of 50.

'But its time has definitely come; now in its final state, it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song,' Akon said.

Posthumous release: The video will be released as part of a box set of Michael's short videos entitled Vision
Even the opening lines of the song pack an emotional punch, with the lyrics:'This life don't last forever.
    '

Back in the spotlight: Almost 18 months after his death, the release of Michael Jackson's duet with Akon entitled Hold My Hand is making fans happy

Early reviews and Jackson fan websites commended the duet, released for digital sales on the official Hold My Hand – Michael Jackson website, saying Akon had improved the song's production quality.

'There won't be any controversy about the vocals on this one. The only question is how long until it scales the charts,' said The Huffington Post, noting it was already trending high on Twitter.

'Polished up and studio-tweaked, Hold My Hand is an innocuous, professionally executed ballad with probably a touch more Akon than any MJ fan can be happy with,' New York Magazine reported.

Jackson's Facebook page was filled with thousands of comments on the song from fans excited about the release of the new album, Michael, on December 14. The posthumous release is the first of new Jackson material since his Invincible album in 2001.
